Well goodbye Portland...
« on: September 29, 2004, 05:51:44 am »
Hey K-fans,

Unfortunately I must leave Portland and move back home to the coast.  However this doesn't mean I'll be COMPLETELY cut off from Kumoricon 2005.  Whatever which way the wind blows...

Hey Ruriko,

Yes I'll be leaving, or rather left.  Good luck next term.

The coast?

As in, The Oregon Coast?

If so, where ya moving too?

I'm from Florence.

Nobody knows where that is, though.  :D  :D

Hey, near Newport.

Hey Dustin,

I now live near Newport, but the town I live in is nearly 30 miles away from where you live, Florence, so I would say about an hours drive maximum.

But I plan to go to college, maybe, in January north of Corvallis and between Salem.

An hour?

Hmm, the depends on if its around 30 miles south or north of Newport, if its south, thats probably the Yachats area, or surrounding area.

With as many trips between Florence and Portland I have made in my life, the drive through highway 101 is just easy now.

Good luck with College.

Space Ghost Coast to Coast.
« Reply #14 on: October 06, 2004, 11:01:51 pm »
Hey K-Fans,

Yeah, remember Space Ghost, anybody?  Remember when he hosted Reboot and "Sailor Moon" on the old "Cartoon Network"?  Eh, oh well, that is okay if some of you don't, because that is not the point here.

Rem:  I suspect you mean the "Florence" Dustin, of course, who else here is named "Dustin", but a coastal viewing sounds fun, coincidently.  Nonetheless, I would like to see you as well there.

Dustin:  My mom works in Yahatz, Yachatz, Yachaz, or whatever or however you pronounce it, figures, because I used to work there too, for nearly six months, then I quit and moped around my house for six months, came to Portland for eight months, then left as you see and hear me now, but I coming to Portland for those eight months to go to Kumoricon 2004 alone was worth it.  I saw and met an old friend of mine, at Kumoricon 2004, when before I went to college in Newberg, which was before I worked in Yahatz.  We had great times in Newberg and he showed me tons of Anime, not literally speaking of course, but going there was worth it too, alone to get in touch with my Anime side.

I suppose if you really analyze my college years, all I've ever done successfully was Anime...says quite a bit about me I'm sure, but college is, was, and is important, too.

Actually, it was Moltar who hosted the original Toonami, then they switched to Tom the robot.

Hey K-fans,

Dustin:  Moltar was funny.  That was '96 I believe.  I was still in high school.  I would get up every morning at 5:00 and watch whatever episode I taped off Cartoon Network of everything the previous afternoon.  I did that for nearly four years.

superjaz3p:  I am sure you were not the only one who liked and missed that episode.  I missed that one, too.

Hazard:  I do not know how you really feel, but I find that I miss the company, not the place.
