Looking for a mystery anime!
« on: January 17, 2008, 08:54:13 am »
So...

A friend of mine is trying to find a movie he saw years ago and loved, but he can't remember the title or studio (helpful, I know!)  Anyhow, it sounds really cool, and he said it was popular when it came out (around 3-5 years ago).

Here's what I know:

Artsy, off-the-wall anime with really nice animation.  Probably a small studio.  Definitely Japanese.

The story is about two kittens.  One loses his soul and they have to travel all over to find it, meeting with many bizarre adventures along the way.

Apparently the anime has sort of a circus-y feel to it.

Well, that's it--does it ring any bells for anyone?

I really wanna see it!

Thanks for playing. :)

Well I thought it was possibly another anime series but I think I found what you're looking for in the process.

"Cat Soup"

That's the one I thought it was but I read a description for both shows and "Cat Soup" seemed to fit.

That description isn't ringing any bells, but it deffinately sounds interesting. Once people identify what series it is, I'm going to see about picking it up ^_^.

Oooh, Cat Soup definitely looks like what he described to be.  I'll ask him about it today.  I wonder if Netflix has it.....

Thank you everyone!  <3
