I'd do wigs over dying any day. Yeah they fall off when you get too active (grabs some string for a chinstrap), but they're quicker to change out of and into others.

Good on the Amtgard folkses! My sweetie & I did SCA like about 20 - 25 yrs ago then dropped it - the gang here at the time wasn't very much fun to play with. Then we checked in again about 5yrs ago and it felt like a 'Let's Try REALLY HARD to Pretend Christianity didn't exist in the Middle Ages' club: At the last event I visited, I couldn't recall a seeing one single SCA 'player' wearing any sort of visible Christian symbol such as a cross around the neck, or in a fabric design, etc - and yet those are supposedly the peoples who built the world's most magnificent cathedrals, religious art (hmm, Michelangelo, El Greco,) and songs (Palestrina, Machaud, Tye, Schulteis aka Praetorius, Gregorian chant, 5-part motets - I LOVED signing that stuff in the SCA... ) but not a single person was re-enacting as one of the hugest majorities in the world at that time? Didn't feel 'authentic.'

I'm not unfamiliar with that feeling. Especially as a musician, there are times when I doubt I'm capable of even earning enough income to maintain myself.

The sad thing is that in high school, I was the merit scholar whom everyone expected to become a world-class engineer straight out of an ivy-league college. Now, here I am studying music at a community college.

If you want wig help, I'm your girl unless it's SUPER complicated.

Speaking of wigs, I have a few I am thinking of selling.

There's a 27" dark blue one, a medium blonde with a black headband (would easily pull up in to a great Deidara wig), and a short spikey brown wig that was going to be used for Sora, but that cosplay was canceled. They are all made of Japanese kanekalon fiber and have the high quality nets.
I'm thinking about $30 (ish, I will shift pricing) for the longest, $20 (ish) for the blonde, and $40 (ish) for the short spikey brown.
I will post this as a topic in the trading and selling thread once I have pictures, just thought I'd post here first.
