Uwajimaya meet-up anyone? =)

Hello everyone!

A couple of my buds and I make it a habit to go to Uwajimaya once or twice a month, if not to buy something, to window shop with extreme prejudice. =) We figured, with Kumoricon having just finished, and as we were unable to complete the previous Uwajimaya get together as was previously posted, we thought we'd give it another go, eh? Date and time always subject to change if need be, but what we got thus far is as follows:

Where: Beaverton Uwajimaya (www.Uwajimaya.com)  - Directions and address found on website

When: Sunday, September 16th @ 2:00PM

- Lunch at Sambi's following Uwajimaya @ approx 3:30PM

If I'm missing anything, please let me know. =) I figured we could all just meet out in front of the store, have a bit of introduction time, and proceed to ravage. In addition, there are two Japanese restaurants very close by with reasonable prices. Hakatamon, which is actually in Uwajimaya, and Sambi's, which is just down the street. I believe Hakatamon is closed between 2PM-5PM, but Sambi's should be open. Should peoples be hungry, I thought a late lunch at 3:00/4:00, depending on how long we shop, would be nice.

Anywho, input is welcome if anyone has anything to add. Hope to see you there! ^^

It looks like Festival Japan will be taking place at Uwajimaya this weekend as well. For additional information, please visit http://www.jaso.org/. In addition, I've been informed that a Kumoricon booth, as well as preregistration for 08' at the lowest possible price of $25 will be available. Well, as I said in my original post, I go with a good sized group of my friends (whom were at k-con, and likely on here in some form) just about twice a month or so... I guess we'll just have to schedule a second coming in a couple weeks, eh? =) Keep your eyes peeled for Uwajimaya - PART DEUX!

Yayyy!!! I Plan on Going Sunday!! and I'm trying to convince my friend to wear our hojo and (I'm) Lucrecia cosplays!!
We are still working on our cosplays mind you, but they are fairly good. lol.

 but I might put on what I have of my Lucrecia crescent cospla. I dont have the labcoat and my skirt isnt done but yeah.....I'll be traveling with either a Turk or Hojo, Ooor I might put on my Tifa FFVII with a longer white shirt (I'd be freezing in a sort white shirt lol) It depends on weather and my friend.

I dont know I'll have to talk to my friend about it. We plan to go at like 10:30 (its a fairly long drive from salem) and stay till at the very least, 4:00, or 5:00 It Depends on my mom.

Aww, you went?  I was hoping I'd run into you. 
I was there with my brother from about 1:40-4:00 or so on Sunday.
We wandered, ate takoyaki, got green flakes stuck in our teeth, watched some fools scarf tofu, acted like nerds. 
Then we went to watch A-Key-Kyo perform, and I ran into a girl I recognized who had cosplayed Lan Fan from Fullmetal Alchemist at the con.  I started talking to her and she actually recognized me as the Mion cosplayer.  Yay!    We talked a bit about Higurashi and FMA and she made me really want to catch up on the manga.  The english release has just caught up to where I last left off!  We ended up hanging out for most of the festival, she was really nice! 
And I ran into an awesome Matt (from Death Note) whose picture I had taken at the con.  I talked a bit to her and the Aeris that she was with, and they were really cool!
Lots of fun was had!  I ate too much takoyaki.
