Please post here, and inform your friends that it will be happening. I have started gathering sponsors for a Time Spiral-Planar Chaos-Future Sight draft, and I need to have a rough estimate for how many people would like to be involved in a tournament at the convention.

hay this is donny i have been telling people at the cave that there might be a magic draft there and what not but i had a good idea for a first place prize, mek first get the next draft free if u can then more people will come becuase they might be able to get a free draft, i was seeing if CCGHouse can help out and what not so u can get things easier but there just back up if u need them. the owner of the cave as told me that he will sponsoer me for the naruto tournement.

I might be interested, depending on what it's scheduled against... It's been like 6-7 years since I played Magic, so it would be cool for the nostalgia at least.

Umm, does the deck have to be considered a "legal deck" Mine isn't because I have alot of old cards. Will old cards be acceptable?

Really? I'm really kind of a newb when it comes to official tournament stuff, but in drafts I thought it usually costs money to buy the cards to make yourself a deck, (and the site says it's a draft). The 'cards provided' are free?

Also, sorry to seemingly continually pester you with questions, but I'm afraid that I couldn't find what time it was on the schedule--would anyone happen to know what time this is planned to take place? Thanks for the info!

It's scheduled for Sunday at 10 AM.

Caedman is running the event, and he has yet to decide the details of the tournament. The con is providing one box of boosters for the event, so the details may be negotiated day-of, depending on how many people show. Since participants will have already had to pay for their con pass, we didn't feel it was fair for them to pay tournament entry as well. Most of the info you'll be wanting you can get at the con on Saturday. Thanks!

Very tempting. I haven't played seriously since the 8th Edition pre-release, but I might give it a try again. Might be fun to see some of the new cards. I actually recently gave a demonstrative speech on how to play Magic for a college speech class, so I'm still relatively fresh on the rules.

Well, despite the initial complications, and my own lackluster performance, (expected), the tournament was quite fun--Hope it happens again next year!

Agreed.
I went 1-2 in ALL of my full matches $:-\$ , but I did win the one game match I played when we thought we were going to end early.
Still, even with my dismal 25% match win rate, and my slightly better (but still not great) 40% game win rate. It was a lot of fun!

I went 2-1, so all was well in that aspect. I just wish I drafted more red than the meager pickings I had.
