I guess old. Without toad. I guess money is kind of an issue. I mean, I really want to make a good costume for my first time cosplaying in Kumori-con.

My strategy is always checking out every Goodwill and used clothing store for stuff (pants, shirt and vest. You might get lucky and find something that would work for the scroll too.) The net leggings / arm things should be pretty easy / cheep to find at a costume shop. You might have to get creative w/ the headband - check out a craft store meybe. The wig is going to be the hardest thing I would think... that might be where you spend some $$  Tho I have seen some good ones made of fake fur.

The only other recommendation is to check out some other Jiraiya cosplays to see what you think makes the costumes work. Good luck!

Depending on how much time you have and what you already own (glue gun, needles and thread, sewing scissors, cloth, clothes you can cut up etc.), it might be cost effective to buy the main part of the costume and add to it. It's up to you!

True. I do have somebody that is willing to make my costume for like 75 bucks. Which is pretty cheap compared to just ordering it online. Though I would have to buy the headband and book on my own.
