Okay - this is a "pie in the sky" scenario, but if money was no object and everyone in the universe was free on Labor Day Weekend, who is your dream guest / event / band etc. that you'd like to see at K-con? (mods-feel free to move if need be...)

Me --

- Enter to the pounding of live Taiko drums
- Get to meet and talk to Fred Gallagher from MegaTokyo (cuz he might just be able to tell who I am in my Pirogoeth cosplay!)
- Go human bowling with P-Lander Z <MAD TIGER!>
- Have drinks provided by SakeOne from Forest Grove OR (the only U.S. owned Sake brewery in the world!)

beef jerky from the shulskys butcher shop (best in world)
bbq pizza from papa johns and chicken and chips from pappys pizza (was bought by foren country dosent exist any more)

According to some random page, my previous post went to Hell before I could post it. Well whatever, I am sure it served as good reading material for the residents.

I'd like to meet Yoko Kanno and maybe have her sign all my albums that she composed. I'd ask if she could write up a super awesome song about me, and maybe have it recorded. ^_^

Another perosn I would want to meet is Hideki Kamiya. It would be fun to get his insight on what it was like to work on Resident Evil 2 (the game) and his creation Devil May Cry and what direction he would have taken the series had Capcom not booted him off of it.

And uh, I dunno what band I would want to come perform. I'd work up a list, then set up a poll and have people vote. The top 3 bands I would then have my hired hit men sent to go kidnap. It would be cheaper that way.

A couple of actors and actresses and other entertainment business peeps I would wanna meet would be Mary Elizabeth McGlynn(beautiful voice), Bruce Campbell (though I think the only cartoon he has ever done is Megas XLR), Shinchiro Watanabe and the Cowboy Bebop creative team, Katushiro Otomo, and uh... I don't know who else.

I'm tired and cold and scared of all this icky coastal storming and flooding that has been happening, so that is my excuse as to why I don't know what else to add...

And for the evil part of me~

As a gift for all people who attend the convention, I would have Alfred R. Kahn tied up in a bag and metal pipes would be prepared for use to bash him into yesteryear for what he and 4Kids have done to One Piece. He is the CEO & Chairperson, and with a fancy title like that I hold him solely responsible for his butchering of cartoons and anime. I do believe that Shaman King got the same treatment... ¬_¬

Well, that's even worse. But Kahn I still hold responsible, because he was the first name I pulled up when I did a quick google search. Plus I wouldn't want the place to turn into a blood bath. Maybe a bruise fest, but not a blood bath. Har har... ^_^;

Ooo this is a fun topic... let's see...

1) Buck-Tick would agree to perform and I would be their liason.
2) Greg Ayres, Illich Guardiola, David Mantranga, and Braden Hunt would be guest and do a "fan dub" of a Saiyuki Reload or Gunlock episode. (sniffles)
3) I would have a professional tailor make me some really nice cosplay costumes!
4) It would be held at the convention center and one of the large warehouse-like halls would be decorated like ancient japan, with a bathhouse, inns, and other places where con-goers could eat, relax, and shop.

I wanna meet some JAPANESE voice actors!!
It would be super awesome to meet Megumi Hayashibara who is the voice of Lina Inverse in Japan from Slayers. She also did Ranma Saotome (Ranma 1/2), Rei Ayanami (Neon Genesis Evangelion), Saber Lime (Saber Marionettes J) ect.

It would also be awesome and a privelge to meet Hikaru Midorikawa. He's done EVERYTHING. Tamahome in Fushigi Yugi, Zel in Slayers, Yoshito Kikuchi in GTO, Seto Kaiba in Yugioh, Fiore in the Sailor Moon R movie, Faust in Saber Marionette J" and so on.
I wouldnt mind meeting Akira Ishida as Xellos in Slayers either. He's a freaking AWESOME voice actor, I know for sure he played Hakkai in Saiyuki and I think Gaara of the Desert in Naruto as well as Shunichi in Nightwalker and Fish Eye in Sailor Moon SuperS.

It's almost my life long dream to either meet Naoko Takeuchi (Creator of Sailor Moon) or Yu Watase (Creator of Fushigi Yugi, Ceres, Imadoki, Alice 19th, ect.) But just manga-ka in general would be awesome. I'd love to hear about the business and how to get into and how to prepare and everything in panel, since thats what I want to go into.

No one else really. If you wanna generalize it, Japanese voice actors and Japanese manga-artists.
But one cany only wish right? :cry:

Guests - Bring Tiffany Grant back, along with the voice goddess herself, Megumi Hayashibara. The guy who does the English voice for Happosai would be kinda neat, too. I'll also agree with kimiski about Hikaru Midorikawa; that guy is great!

Event - A Japanese food table, with sake. A voice acting panel where we get to do an entire episode of something, & show it at the end of the con. A football game, baseball game, or sumo tournament, IN THE LOBBY!!!

Band - Megumi Hayashibara. I don't remember their name, but in every music video I've seen them do they were cosplaying, and their music was pretty good, too. Whoever they are, that would be a great choice.

True, a lot of it is rather mediocre, with the exception of bands like the Pillows, which are just good rock n' roll, in any context. The one context in which I listen to anime soundtrack music is on the elyptical machine at the gym. It definitely improves the experience.

Oh you tried to fool me, I thought you were posting about the tiny Korean American lady who is a super eater, but it's a Japanese guy ewwwww. I once made a belt for a rib eating contest at a casino in Lincoln city and they said make it real big all these guys have 50 60 inch waist. So I made a 60 inch champion belt with gold chains all Elvis looking then and gold painted rubber ribs and forks were added. Then when it came time to put it on the winner it was the tiny Korean lady and it went around her lithe young supple waist 3 times.

Edit: The show promoter had said "that tiny japanese eating lady" tried it on. I googled she is Korean and did not win that one but at least she tried it on, An ohh she is my age and looks 20.
