I say there should be a role playing part of the forums!
With different sections such as series related, original, stuff like that!

What kind of role-playing? Where you discuss Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, etc? Or where you actually role-play within that forum?

Actual Role playing:

Sky's eyes darted from one side of the road to the next, he was beginning to get a bad feeling. He had ran across the street many times but it felt like this would be his last. Just as he backed up and jumped off the sidewalk, Walter, the local hobo, had oddly enough ran out before him.
Sky was shocked as a large van zoomed around the corner, hitting poor Walter with a crack and a splat.

Sky never did cross the road after that. Never EVER again...

I have been working out two Charactors to promote my idea for the cat fight

Macho Cat Randy Snuggles  "Oh Yeah step into a slim Pocky"

and

Hulk Huggles   "I want all my Hugamaniacs to take there catnip"


I want to see the cat boys and girls get into the ringside shinanigans just like in a real WWF event

well. If we jumble up all the role playing together... it might work if it's only a few people. but if alot of poeple do it (as hoped) and some want to be more serious and some want to be more comical then disputes may arise. who knows.

Yeah, like some people role play with *'s and that kinda is annoying to me, at least when I'm trying to have a good role play. ^^;;

Personally I think there should be a max. number of posts per day for everyone in the role play just so things don't get out of hand really really fast.

I am 100% against the idea to put a collar on my creativity by putting a 'max. number of posts per day' I think people should role play how they want. I'm a rp fiend; I can do 50 post days, if I'm on a good day.

I could just see two people (no one specific, I promise) really going to town and posting 50 pages between the two of them in one day.

I'm still an advocate for making role playing an actual section of the forum. I mean. I don't know how difficult that would be....or if it would be difficult at all, but it sure would make things easier. And that way poeple could role play lots of things andddd -loses train of thought-

Well I dunno maybe we could at least try it out in the forums for a while, and if it doesn't work out just retract it....I dunno

okay so my question is:

how difficult would it really be to just make a "Role Playing" section of the forum. And how would one go about doing that?

I'm fairly new to the forums so I don't know who everyone is and such. Who should you talk to about getting a new section?

It probably won't be likely that role-play will have its own forum. I strongly recommend you use the spam forum for that.

I remember the summer before kcon '05 the "something about hte person above you" thread got about three pages added daily... It did get outof hand, I agree.
