Festival Japan at Uwajimaya

September 16th and 17th, at Uwajimaya in Beaverton.

It's being organized by the Japan-America Society of Oregon.

This exciting community event will showcase a wide variety of performances, exhibitions, cultural demonstrations and artisans. Everything from Taiko drumming to Koto, Martial Arts and Japanese children's games will be experienced at this event which will highlight the many aspects of Japanese culture.

Exciting events to take place will be the Tofu Eating Contest (Saturday & Sunday) and the Sashimi Samurai Contest (Saturday only).

I'm thinking about it.  I know that I'd lean a little more to the "Yes" side if I knew I would have a reliable source of transportation.  (It sucks not being able to drive).

I am going to Sunday, I sure hope they will have another round of Taiyaki (Red bean paste filled sweet pastry) there!

Yeah, definitely going! It's only 10 minutes away from me (or five, if we're speeding again... bad drivers <.<) If you see a girl wearing a-- er... well, I'm not so sure ^^ But I will be wearing my sound headband, Naruto sandals and the gloves from my Kabuto cosplay, so... oh thats the thingy i forgot but i wanted to get shaved ice first and forgot about taiyaki
