I got my costume last night I spent $6 was I crazy

True, true...$6 for an entire costume is pretty good. Kudos for getting the entire costume for such a thrifty price! At least you spent some money on it. I think every year at AX I see someone walking around in a "costume" made entirely out of those free swag bags.  :roll:

I think I had a good hall even thoughg I spent more on stuff then for my costume

Costume $6  (will need a few hours of time to finish)
Like new Doc Martins $15 (it's good having kids size feet)
6 12 inch GI Joes $10
One headless Barbie with lots of extra points of Articulation $00 (they said they dont even want to know will pret4end they did not see it)
Axis and Allies Original Edition $1.99 (did I need another one)


Now I need to do some modifactaions mainly picking out emroidered Logos and making some patches

Don't you just love the looks on the clerks faces when you walk up with a bizarre collection of items. Usually when thrift shopping for cosplay supplies I end up with the weirdest things.

Not that there is anything weird about buying a broken guitar, package of 12 zippers, foam wig head, a stuffed sheep and a kid sized baseball helmet.  :lol:

Ooooh, Axis and Allies! I've got one of the originals too! Needless to say it is far from mint condition. Alas, it has seen better days.

You only got a bag of 12 zippers, I get all there bags of zippers sometimes 50 at a time.  I will pass some off on unsuspecting con goers as supplies for the Creation station and repair booth

I did not get mere foam heads I got Beauty School heads with real Human hair and life like skin, every one is creeped out about them

I have 3 Axis and Allies (2 original and one new version)  Fortress America (the rare first print with Sadam on the cover) Shogun (first print before the name change) and the roman one   I just need the Pirate one and I have them all.  I could bring an A&A to the con there is some open game hours that’s how I became Field Marshall Von Dan   playing A&A as the Germans and making every one wear the hat or helmet of the country they play

Broadsides! The pirate one was/is impossible to find. It's one that my hubby always wanted as a kid but he could never find it. :cry:

I love the idea of everyone wearing the hat/helmet of the country they are playing. That totally rocks! Now if you ever find Broadsides you'll have to make sure everyone has pirate hats to wear!

I decided half an hour ago that I was going to be Toboe at the con, along with like five million other things.


I bought the wig just a big ago, and now all I need is a jacket from a thrift store~

you know what I was thinking you need if you are to Cosplay Negima, those shoes they ware in comedy sketches when some one is playing a short person so the shoes have cut outs in the back and the shoes are straped around the knees as they kneel
