Hello everyone. Pocky Club will be back at Kumoricon after a successful year last con, making everyone's day brighter with free Pocky.

We have been at the General meetings giving out Samples of Pocky and who just… DOSN’T LOVE FREE POCKY?

I'm sure you've heard of Pocky Club... But one cannot hear too much of Pocky club, no?

Pocky Club is an organization of people who help make your convention experience enhanced by delivering to your friend, someone whose costume you admired., staff or the con chair or one of the Bakazoku (They were very popular last year I must say... xD). All you have to do is fill out a simple request form, turn it in before the deadline on Saturday night and voila! Pocky is then delivered to that person on Sunday morning from a happy cosplayer who may or may not glomp the person (Depending on if they would or wouldn’t want to be glomped). Yes, it is a rule that you cannot send Pocky to yourself… But hopefully if you send it to your friend they’ll be nice and share with you. :3 Pocky Club is paid for by the members of Pocky club (Buying all of the Pocky can be expensive) and if you feel generous then you may give a donation, but it is not mandatory, only looked upon greatly.

We are looking for people who would like to help us, by delivering the Pocky (Called “Delivery Agents”) or if you aren’t conferrable with glomping someone you may help by advertising and letting Pocky Club’s presence known at the convention and helping with the organization of Pocky Delivery.

there was a planned "catalouge" last year, but it didn't go through all the way.
but it was where the people could choose a cosplayer, or whatever. to send the pocky. or have a choice of being totally random.

Yes I remember that...
Pocky Club needs a variety of cosplayers (Both male and Female! :3 ) to help deliver pocky to hungry fanboys and girls.
Just imagine your favorite character comming up to you, hugging you AND THEN giving you free pocky. :] Everyone's dream, no?

Though I'm afraid I don't know that many characters as my interest in Anime//Manga diminished a while back, and hasn't flared up much yet.

Which position would you like to be working in?

I wouldn've guessed you be cosplaying if your intrest in anime/manga has diminished. I had that feeling a while back too. @_@ So I just bought a whole lot of manga and it came back. Haha.

{m} has laid the decision in my needlepricked hands as to whether we shall do this... Which is just evil cause I love pocky.... Do we need to help for all three days? Is there a pocky quota? Ack more planning! X0 I think we would like to do it but we also have to oversee our friend who can get a bit odd around bishies... we have to protect them from her so she doesn't get herself kicked out.... :roll:

Okay, I think this format would be more helpful that all that I just wrote. And you could chose which ones you'd like to help with, we don't wana control all of your convention time, that'd be meeaan.
Saturday:
Help dvertise pocky club (Flyers, I'm going to ask about it with the Head Honcho of Pocky Club, TomtheFanboy)
Later that day we'll have a meeting to decide who'll glomp who, what pocky they'll be getting, ect.
Sunday:
Be a "clip boarder "(Someone who re-checks it's okay to glomp/ not okay to glomp, Helps glompers find their glompee,)
Be a Glomper (In costume with pocky).
Monday:
I don't belive we have anything schedualed, but last year we had a little pcoky club party and handed out awards. :]

You can chose which one's you think you'd want to do.

Haha... I think that as long as she didn't get... too friendly she'd be fine.

Just to further explain, people sign up to have a pocky delivery + optional glomp delivered to their friend. As a member of pocky club, if you chose to become a member, it would then be your job to make said delivery.

Of course, all through out the year, not just at kumoricon, the members of pocky club gather to hang out and share pocky with each other.

The point of pocky club is not to get free pocky, but to share pocky with others. ^_^

I'll be getting up at around 6am everyday, and I should be dressed and ready by 8am, provided everyone else in the room I'm staying in doesn't slow me down since there will be a lot of us with equal rights needing to get ready, but...

Yay! Recruits!

As the club President I have some important messages for you guys before I get too excited.

First of all, we are a delivery service. We delivery "Pocky-grams" to people on behalf of their friends. Any glomping done is at the discretion of the delivery agent. If the club were to take donations in return for our services and we specifically offered a glomp (that is, an enthusiastic hug) then we could be susceptible to prosectution on charges of prostitution. Underage prostitution in most cases.
*ahem*
So we will be asking our Delivery Agents to deliver Pocky in costume.

Secondly, we need as many specific anime characters as possible. Nobody complains about getting pocky from a gothic-lolita-girl but if you're a Tenchi fan then getting pocky from Washu will be much more exciting. I will be recruiting any specific characters for special deliveries if needed. for instance, last year I got a Vash and Wolfwood to make a couple deliveries for the Club and we never saw them again.

Thirdly, we will hopefully have a table in Artist's Alley. This will be confirmed after the meeting tomorrow when I double check all the paperwork with the staff. We will need trustworthy responsible people to help at the table and take care of paperwork for delivery requests, signing up new volunteers, taking donations, and answering questions about the Club itself.

The other stuff has been explained above.

Now as far as how much time out of your busy convention schedule this will take, it really depends. Probably the most time consuming portion will be manning the club's table (if we have one). Someone will need to be there to take donations as well as accept delivery forms. Other than that there's the panel at the very beginning of the convention (I scheduled it right after opening ceremonies for a reason), then at least one more meeting on Saturday night to designate who delivers to who. Sunday is the deliveries, which really depend on how busy we are and how popular you are as a delivery agent. Monday we might have a little get together before closing ceremonies but who knows?

I don't have any prizes yet so don't get your hopes up for those, OK girls? Those were specially made for my best helpers, you're all still the best helpers so you'll have to wait and see what rewards I come up with after the convention. after all, I don't have 80 dollars to spend on Pocky like I did last year.

One last thing. If you want to be a member of Pocky Club, other than coming to the panel or emailing pockyclub@gmail.com, there's one great thing you can do.
Bring us pocky!
Even if you don't want to spend time helping us out at the table or in the halls, giving us funds/materials to keep us going is all you have to do!

I might be able to get her to help, too~

I am not any specific anime character, though.
I am going to be Gothic Lolita, and various types
of Victorian/ lacey things that could porbably be
considered Gothic Lolita.

And I am happy to help.

I guess this is as good of a place as any to do so, but I will

able to call me if anything arises/ anyone feels the need to call
me about this event.

This remindes me of the secret santa events at my middle school and
such, and I always remember loving seeing the smiles
on people's faces when I delived a gift, and they would say
"Why am I getting this??"
My response was always:

You'll figure out who it is. Just wait."

I don't know what it is, but this event makes me so happy~

I think last year one of the person's moms was so pleased with us she gave us like 15 bucks or something.

And As for meeting up at the convention, you'd go to the Pocky Club Panel (11-12, althoguh we're cutting it short with a conga line. xD) in the Clark Room (Panel room 1). You can't miss it there will be giant pocky box posters on the door. xD

I talked to Tom last night on the phone and he said that we could leave early (About th e time the conga line will be going). The panel will probably be about 40 minutes long opposed to an hour. :] So there's no need to worry about that. ^^

Yes we shall be a team for you on Day two! Sorry I haven't been back in like two days I am sewing our vests and it is painful. I stayed up till 5am last night sewing cause I hid the faces of all the clocks in my room to keep motivated! I also ended up stabbing myself about 6 times but there was no blood so everything is cool!
