2006 August 27th General Meeting
« on: July 28, 2006, 07:54:44 am »
Our meeting will be August 27nd from 12-3 at the Red Lion Inn where the convention is being held. Visit the main page for more information.

If you are not Yojimbo trained, you can get trained here.

***Staff- From my record about half of you will need to bring your $10 registration fee. Bring money to the meeting, or you will be subject to the $40 door price.***

Last minute adjustments to the schedule, layouts, staffing arrangements, etc. will need to happen at this meeting!

Unless something goes horribly wrong, I will have t shirts for sale to registered and paid staff.
You'll be loved, you'll be loved, like you never have known. When memories of me will seem more like bad dreams. Just a series of blurs, like I never occurred. Someday, you will be loved.

Yay..I can't wait, just a little over a month ^-^

I shall of course be there, because if I'm not I am sure Brownie will kill me. And well, I think we all are afraid of her. I'll also have to remember to buy my radios before then!

What is the best way for staff to verify that we are listed as having registered?

What is the price for staff and for public of this year's tshirts?

Having them available for sale pre-con is brilliant, not only for front-loading some revenue generation, but also for an ideal way to spread word-of-mouth about our beloved con.

You're the best!

Love Ellen :)

P.S. THANK YOU for having it on a Sunday and not a Saturday.

Hello, everyone!

This is Aaron, the guy at the July meeting wearing the Seahawks shirt & hat from Clark Community College in Vancouver, WA.

Currently, I do intend to come to the meeting.

I'm there as always.  And of course I have the three spots open for people to tag along if they need it.  Aka I can give three people a ride to the meeting.  And yes how much for the T shirts?

Does anyone know the Tri-Met or MAX system that well?  I am coming in from Vancouver and I might have no ride to the meeting.  I have no idea how to use these systems.

Go to the Trimet website (http://www.trimet.org), pop in your address in the From field and put in the hotel's address (909 N. Hayden Island Drive, Portland, OR) in the To field. It'll lead you to a list of transportation options.

Take the 6 from Vancouver TC across the river, get off at one of the first stops once you are across the river.

That's really about it getting from downtown Vancouver.

Well, it looks like I have to leave from the 7th Street Transit (downtown Vancouver), since neither of the routes from the Fisher's Landing Transit operate on Sundays.

Thanks, guys.  I have my routes all planned out if I can't get a ride.

^Awesome, but I've got a simpleton's question for you; what's the difference between fanfic & novella?

This is for anyone, anyone, who is planning on going to the meeting.  Is anyone coming from Clark County and would be willing to give me a ride down there?  This would save me extra busfare.

Simple answer: Length & complexity (e.g., say, 25-400 pages [really] and multiple chapters with extensive plot and character development).

If there are any other fanfic questions, please post them in the fan creation forum, the contest forum, or to me personally via PM, so as to not clog up this forum. Thanks.

I'm staff.  Registered and Paid.  It's been difficult for me to get to meetings because I've had to work on those days in the past, but I'm going to try my damnedest to get to this one.

What's the price on the t-shirts?

Couple things,

 - Is the Info Booth coordinator going to be there?
 - Do we have a video projector for the info booth?
 - Will someone have the staff T-shirts?
 - Will someone have the master reg list?

PM me with a msg. if you can answer any of the above... and yes I will be there.

Okay, here's a question about the t-shirts.

I don't get paid until the day AFTER the meeting.  Talk about crappy luck, eh?  Anyway, could I write a check and you guys not deposit it until Wednesday, or something?

Cool.  My biggest concern has been actually been whether or not I'll need to work that day, but I think my schedule at my new job will give me that day off.

If you have enough room for me and Tom, I know we'd both appreciate a ride.  ^_^

1. Yes
2. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing no.
3. I will have the shirts.
4. I will have the master list. (Though, are you referring to the STAFF list, or the Pre Reg list?)

Only registered staff will be allowed to by a tshirt at the meeting. I will send out the prices on the staff email list. There will be girls' baby doll tees in addition to the boys' regular tees.

OK, so it's like a ranking thing?  The newer you are to the forum, the more cluless the line next to your avatar is?   Cute.  Very cute.

So how do I get onto the staff forum?   Am I missing some vital plot points here?

Just curry-us, yu unnerstand.

Your forum name wasn't registered when I tried to add it before.

Ok, I'm staff and have been since last September.  I've been paid up on my registration for a few months now.  I have staff access to the forums.  Yet, I've never received any messages from Kumoricon mailing lists.

So, please send this email with tshirt prices to me too.  valliegirl@gmail.com

Will do. I wasn't aware you weren't on the list.

If anyone else who is registered staff did NOT receive the email with price list for tees, please send me an email at chair@kumoricon.org. Your address will need to be added to the staff email list.

PS The confirmation when you are added to the list looks much like spam. Be careful to look for it when I post that the list has been updated.

Edit *Vallie, you should receive an email today. I added you at 8:04 am.

I attended the meeting on Sunday and recorded it and have now uploaded it to rapidshare.
