Okay, let's face it, it doesn't matter if you're someone new to the con or you're a veteran of cons, chances are you will forget SOMETHING.

With the con being so close, let's try to create a list of things people should not forget to bring or prepare for the con.  Hopefully this will help everyone and maybe keep us from doing something we'll regret.

1. Remember to bring your camera.  I've read lots of posts of people forgetting to bring their cameras and seriously regretting it.  Imagine what it would be like to see your favorite character cosplayed and not being able to take a picture.

2. Batteries.  Make sure your camera doesn't die on you right when you need it.

3. Budget.  Set up a budget so you know how much you can spend.  Calculate how much you'll spend for sure (hotel), assume you'll spend money on food, and try to figure out how much you'll spend on swag.  Round up.  You don't want to be at the con without any money left over.

4. Food.  You don't have to bring much but bring enough to stay alive.  Also food that just require you to heat water is very helpful since you can use the coffee maker for that.

My brain is shot right now so that's all I can thank of right now.  If anyone has some advice they like to mention, feel free to help.  If you're new to cons, feel free to ask if you're curious about something.

Enough clothes for however many days you're staying plus one extra. Or if you're wearing costumes all three days, at least two extra outfits just in case something happens.

For cosplayers: Sewing repair kit, duct tape, hot glue gun.

Make a list of everything you'll need for your costumes (hair products, straightener, dryer, props, shoes, accessories, etc) and go over it at least once.

Some type of non-perishable food. Cup 'o noodles works wonders, plus it's really inexpensive. High protein snacks that you can eat when you're in a hurry.

Comfortable shoes for when you're not in cosplay.

After changing costumes, don't forget your con badge.  It's a hassle to go back to the hotel room to get it.  More of a hassle if your hotel room is off the convention grounds.

If you are under 18, don't forget to bring your guardian when you register.

If you are 18 and up, ID are required for certain events, so bring an ID card or license.

I just remembered something else.

Remember your photoshoots.  With all the planning that's been going on you don't want to forget it when it's too late.

Write down the names and costumes of people you're looking for.  You don't want to miss people you've met on the forum, right?

Contact lens solution. This is one of those things I seem to forget on occassion. Luckly most hotels sell contact lens stuff at the front desk or gift shop.

A little first aid kit is also very helpful.  :D

Deffinitaly don't forget towels and shampoo and soap and the like.

Bring everything it would normally take you to get ready for the day each morning, whatever it takes you to get ready before sleep and whatever is required for your cosplay outfit.




Also, once you get the keycard for your hotel room...don't lose it.

I've done that before. It kinnda sucks. :o[/size]
