Actually, I saw it on opening day and only just remembered to put it on here.

What did you think of it? Hated it? Loved it? Thought the "Juggernaut bitch" thing was the funniest thing on Earth?

I personally liked what was in the movie, but despised what wasn't. What about Gambit? Nightcrawler? The story behind Nightcrawler and how he died? I'm pretty sure the movie just did that to coax people into buying the game. Anyway, it was good, but not as good as I thought it'd be.

Well, having been one of the people who saw the internet video with the X-men cartoon being overdubbed with someone dubbing Juggernauts voice, wherein usually stated "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!", I did find that to be very funny.

I actually found myself disappointed about the movie, for many reasons.

Scott Summers had an offscreen death, for one. I mean, what the hell, why even put Cyclops in the film then, if hes gonna die offscreen?

How many of you actually stayed until after the credits and watched the extra scene?

I wonder when the fourth one will be out, now.

Oh, and yeah, even though I was happy I finally got to see The Juggernaut, I was really angry that I never saw a Juggernaut vs. Colossus fight, when I had been anticipating the entire film.

I was cool to see Angel, aswell, since he was also one of my favorite X-men.

There's supposed to be a plot specific reason why he didn't come back. Appearantly, the video game "X-men: The Official Game of The Movie" explains why he never came back.

I havn't played the game, and honestly don't plan to because I heard it sucked, but yeah, I did hear it explains that.

its funny i was the only girl in my group 2 other girls didnt want to go and skipped out and i was still like yay x-men movie !!!

X2 > X1 > X3

I will say this though: landmark desecration is always good in an action flick. And yeah, the Juggernaut line had half the audience laughing. But the best part was the Snakes on a Plane trailer before the movie. :lol:

I haven't seen it yet (but I was curious to click on the thread).

After reading what I have so far, I'm kinda suprised I was the first one to think of this webcomic when I read Gambit wasn't in it. Maybe this explains it.

Yeah, the actor backed out, because he believed the character to be too close to his Lost counterpart.

Oh, I am not sure if its just local, but 7-11 has limited edition X-Men Slurpee cups. Each one has two characters from the movie on it. I am not sure how many there are, either, though.

I have two, one with Juggernaut and Mystique, and one with Wolverine and Angel. There are two others, one with Magneto and Callisto, and one with Beast and Storm. I heard rumors there might be more, but these seem to be the only four around. Which stinks, because they probably could have done a Ice Man/Slurpee promotion.

I want to see Vindicator from Alpha Flight in the next movie (after her hubby dies and is single of course) she is the only hero in the Marvel universe who wears glasses in combat.

Speaking of that, I have noticed and interesting thing regarding these movies. Alot of the characters are taken directly from their Ultimate X-Men comic book counterparts. Considering Apocalypse did appear in the comics (not too long ago, I believe), so, I believe they could put him in there, if they wanted to. He appeared with Mr. Sinister (Who at this point just went by Sinister).

Vondan: As long we don't see Puck. God forbid the man who puts Puck in an X-Men movie. I will murder him. God I hate Puck......HATE.

However, everyone else from Alpha Flight is cool. I'd also like to see other people, such as Alex "Havok" Summers, Cyclops' Brother.

what about puck from the gargoyals cartoon?, i know hes not from x-men but he rocked so much they should put him in the next movie for the hell of it, it can anly make it better and give us somthing to watch after making another movie and you know they wont have gambit because they hate us

From what I heard it was ALL HALLE BERRY'S FAULT. She had her agent fight the producers for her and they wrote Gambit out of the script. That's just the rumor though, I don't like Berry so I'm going with that.

Whatever the reason Gambit wasn't in it, I liked the movie. I wasn't thwarted by my dislike of Berry and Storm remained cool even though it was obvious a lot of her scenes were sorta forced in there for the actress.

It's all about a little thing called "movie continuity" my friends. It helps the medicine go down.

Wffles, don't hate Angel because he's gay, that's mean. Angel is an integral role later because he is a clue that we'll be getting to the Legacy Virus storyline, which leads to Sinister, which leads to Appocalypse. In my mind they could probably do Sinister in the next movie because he had a lot to do with the Summers family and it would be an IN for cyclops to come back.

Another important thing to remember, good old habeas corpus. If they don't SHOW THE BODY you can't be sure that they character is dead. Always checke the body. Since they cut away at just the right moment in "cyclops' death scene" they could bring him back just as easily as they did with Jean Grey. ESPECIALLY with Moira, the doc at the end of the credits. In the comics Moira is a scientist that works on mutant genetics. Notorious for producing clones and whatnot. Also, if they DO pull sinister in for X4, he's notorious for bringing people back in his own special way.

I personally don't trust that they'd just let him get vaped like that. I'm counting on a Jean Grey subconcious-reflex-throw to get him away from her.

Hmmmm.... what else was I going to mention.... Oh yeah.
Alpha Flight could be the ones who rescue Scott from the wilderness and they help him get back to the mansion only to find EVERYONE GONE! Good start for X4 is Cyclops in front of the grave of Xavier.

Meanwhile they're all off in Scottland with the Professor welcoming him back to the world of the living and letting him know Magneto's gone missing! Enter the Savage Lands, Sinister, Dinosaurs, Scott's brother, and a great movie. A subplot with Angel shows him being recruited by three powerful mutants and a shaaaaaaadowy maaaaaastermind!

I would hazard a guess that X-4 actors will be determined by how they age, and how badly they can act. I mean maybe Dakota Fanning will play Ilyana, Piotr Rasputin's little sister. And if she can't well the whole story will go somewhere else.

Puck the satyr? he's a DC character, won't be in any X-Men movie ever! Closest we'll get to that is the line Aunt May told Peter Parker, "You're not Superman, you know?"

Then you would like a character I wrote for a marvel spoof "freak force" when a call for help goes out to the big teams in the MU these other 5 random minor heroes get the call ( this was plotted out before mystery men). One is angels cousin Willy Worthless AKA the Cherub in his youth now called the Pidgin. He looks like Danny Divito with dirty gray flea infested wings. His power is he can fly (for a short distance with lots of huffing and puffing) aside from his own body weight he can carry the weight of a Chili Cheese dog

I know he never made any claims like that. It was a joke I made during the movie.

Just as Angel swoops in and saves his father the two share a look. I thought that would be the perfect time for Angel to say "Dad I'm gay."

I'ts just goingwith the stereotype of the hot young guy with the nice haircut in San Francisco. I have no evidence the actor or the character are gay (in any continuity).

My hatred of angel exists only due to the fact that he is a worthless character in my mind kind of like the firework girl.....

@ Tom yeah that line should have been in the movie from the get go. Then they could have added another horribly gay character and made broke back mutant ( would be addorable)

Gah! I loved that movie. Saw it the first day.

Only complaint: it was super hard to follow because of this stupid, annoying kid behind me who I really wish I could have punched in the face. He wouldn't shut the **** up! I'm sorry but I've been waiting almost 5 months for that film and I didn't just pay $10 for a ticket and a coffee to sit in the theatre with an annoying kid who didn't get the concept of shutting up during a film. Thank god he shut his fat mouth during the big scene with Xzavier and Pheonix. I would have thrown a fit bigger than Pheonix at that point if I couldn't enjoy that scene. It was super harsh and really suspenceful. I thought they did well with Pheonix.

Only problem... her outfit. And I really wanted to see more of Cyclops. Ok, I hate that prick more than anything but I still feel it's important to give all characters a fair roll to play.

But Collosus was great! He didn't speek Russian like he should have, though. Does this kid look Russian? Not really. Oh well.

And Rogue.... oh god, she got shafted. I still loved the film.

Waffles, Angel does actually get a bit more badass in the comics.
He gets metal wings that shoot knives (feathers technically but they're like knives). i'm really hoping the reason they introduced him in this film was for his involvement in that future storyline.

If I go turned blue and had my wings transmogrified to metal to be a literal horsemen of the Apocalypse I'd be a little depressed too I suppose.

That and his costume gets a little goofier. I always liked the red n white costume of the normal Angel.

I FINALLY Saw it. *shakes head* Took me way too long to go.

I thought the movie was good. My least favorite of the three though. But who knows it might be better than the fourth.

I had some annoyances with adjustment of characters to the movie. My major one being Psylocke. I dunno, I just didn't like the whole punked out goth thing they decided to slather on 'Magento's' mutants.

It's a sad thing but I've never liked Rogue or Wolverine all that much. So... I can't really comment on them. But Wolverine x Jean Grey.... is so wrong. So very very wrong and seemingly a tad random in the movie. But we all know what Wolverine wants and it's not called 'love'.

My favorite character I think was Juggernaut. Now that he's there, I want them to bring in Cassandra Nova. Now That is a villan.

Well overall I thought it was okay... kinda rushed though as if you could tell they were on a deadline (at least the video-tapers... digital effects were awesome.)

Do you think I would have even BOTHERED mentioning a DC character in a Marvel movie? That would be considered blasphemous by fanboys around the world.

In regards to X-men 3, I watched it again, and I still agree with my original opinion. Not only is it a great disappointment, it is a crappy movie all together. This movie actually reminds me alot of the Elektra movie.

The cohesion and transition between scenes is horribly done, and this makes it hard to comprehend some of the overall plot, with the underlying character studies the film tends to do.

I hope Halle is happy that her character had more screen time, since taking away time from other characters killed the film.

I personally hope Bryan Singer returns for the next time, as I will NEVER enjoy another comic book movie done by Brett Ratner. Which is hard for me to say, as he directed some episodes of Prison Break, and that show is brilliantly done. It makes it hard for me to understand why he did good with Prison Break, yet X-men 3 became this steaming pile of crap.

I agree with some things I read on the net about the film, including something I read at AICN where Harry Knowles stated that Wolverine is not a good PG-13 character anyways. He was bumped down from "Murderous mutant searching for his past" to "Babysitter thats usually the butt end of every joke in the movie". Harry also states how he hated how they handled the entire Sentinal part of the film, and I agree. They didn't even show the sentinal, they showed two bright lights that where supposed to be its eyes, then they showed a head, thats it.

If the budget cannot allow you to add Sentinals, don't even bother. The way they handled it made it look like a second rate b-movie. It was horrible. They spent quite a bit of money doing the Danger Room, aswell, and it was in the movie all but three minutes. Why even bother?

Hopefully Bryan returns next film, until then, I can look forward to his work on Superman Returns, which, from what I am hearing about early views from people, aswell as what I have seen in the trailers, is going to be pretty good.

I am a bit disappointed that Tom Welling didn't get cast, as I love his acting as Clark Kent on Smallville, but from what I have seen, Brandon Routh is going to be able to pull this off quite well. Adding Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor is just a wonderful addition all around. I have great faith that he can live up to what Gene Hackmen did for the Lex character in the original movies that he was in. The idea of using archive footage of Marlon Brando also strikes me as interesting, and I think it was a good choice. I know it will come out well.

I was so excited for X3 but when I finally got to see it I must say I was very disappointed. I guess it was mostly that the whole feel of the film was so much different to me, especially with the different director and all. I also didn't like the way that they did some of the special effects, especially those involving Pheonix.

I don't know I guess the whole movie seemed rushed and a bit out or order for me.. I just wish it had been better and more like the other two.

Jean's hair... pretty in an entirely different way!

I like how it was kinda sad. I like sad stuff. I think it helped me a lot not having read the comics, cause that way I wasn't disappointed by what was left out.
