Ive only seen one episode in japanese but it looked rather funny. Or as far as I can remember anyway. I'd go to a showing, let me know when and where.

Ah yes, the SPC.
I found a website that offered about 8 episodes on download but only 2 of the ones I got worked. I'd love to see more.

The rumor behind the shows craziness is that when the original tapes were purchased for airing in the states, the people who bought them didn't get the scripts to the show and didn't have atranslation team. so each episode is put together with the voice acting staff's best guess of what was going on!
This is unverified but it makes for a great Otaku Urban Legend.

Kinda like the Legend about the Writer/Director of Evangelion being of his psychoactive medications for the last third of the series.

Haa haa haa! I remember when one of the girl cats was wearing a swim suit standing next to the nerdy girl cat and she said "Doesn't my new bikini make me look HOT!" And the other girl turned her head and said "Tramp." On a kids show! Giggle.

It would be funny to have a Otaku Urban Legends page. I'm sure I could come up with something :wink:

it would be so awesome if you showed this you would have my younger brothers total devotion and pocky delivery!!!!!
when we were school it was on at the ezact time we had to leave for school

so we almost nevr got to see it exept for holidays and days off, if i knew we had a day off coiming up i would ask if we could have pizza for dinneer so he could eat pizza while watching samurai pizza cats, meow where do you go if you want some pepperoni?

Okay: here's my idea. I'll have a room party (dry, clean etc...) and I'll burn the eps for DC DivX (for the dreamcast) since their tv rips anyway there won't be much quality loss (unless someone can bring a dvd player) and I'll post here when I ahve more details (room number, time, night...etc....) and if you want to talk about it more I can be contacted by email: Kalagei@gmail.com.... I'd say maybe the first four episodes then we vote/ random choose which other episodes to watch.

and i think you could make it a little more viable if you proposed a room that was showing a couple of things from the days of yore, like pizza cats. stuff that was on tv in the late 80s that little kids we (we who were sentient then) didnt realize wasent american.

Rainbow bright, that one series of western fairytales (though that might have been russisn im not clear), speed racer, and just in general a room of "vintage" anime. that would be sweet.

i was talking about the original japanese series, from which the american version (season one) got all of the combat sequences, in which the yellow ranger was a boy, and why the yellow ranger in the american version dosent have a skirt.
