I made a thread like this awhile ago but, when my posts got deleted for some reason, that thread ceased to exist. So I'm starting another one.

What are some funny lines you remember hearing at conventions or about anime? They don't have to be just things you heard at Kcon they can be from other conventions. And yes, if you want to, you can quote yourself.

I remember from Kcon '04 someone on the goggle squad was playing Soul Calibur 2, knocked someone off the battle field, and shouted "NOW THAT'S HOW YOU PLAY GOLF!"
Then there's also Tom's line from last year's skit ^_^ : "I want to be the princess of the mushroom kingdom."

the person I was playing actually was mushoku from the goggle squad also

At Sakuracon I was standing around with 2 girls cosplaying Nanao and Matsumoto(Nanao had done both their costumes) and Matsumoto's cleavage got a lil out of control and sweet lil Nanao chan yelled
"GOD DAMN YOUR BOOBIES!"
I laughed so hard and poor Matsumoto started turning red.

Good gracious, I laughed so many times at Sakuracon I don't even know where to begin...

All right- there was some annoying guy flirting with my friend- she's a lesbian, definitely not interested. She flips him off, he leans over and goes, "Sometimes that can be taken as an offer." She tells me this, and after a while I take him into the hall and say, "What's your deal with (name)?" And he says, "I just wanna make her happy." I answer with, "She has other people to make her happy- mainly me. I know you mean well, but back off, okay?" Didn't mess with her again. I told her later and we had a good laugh about it.

My friend's friend was looking for this one girl for a long time, and then my friend goes, "Hey, he's dancing with her." I look over and reply, "Umm, that's my friend (name)." We kept squealing about it later on. Doncha love the irony?

I'll try to remember funnier things that other people said, not just myself. When I do, I'll be back.

*Looking at a Japanese manga, suddenly find some English in it*
"Hey, why does that manga have the words 'Oh My God!' in English?"
"I don't know. Maybe it just looks cool to insert random English into Japanese comics or something. Maybe it's like, you know, when it was cool to say 'Hasta La Vista' after the Terminater came out over here."

XD So many to remember, so little space in my brain. One that will forever stand out is what happened to my friend at Sakuracon 04. It was with a Ninja.

*Walking, walking, NINJA POPS OUT FROM UNDER A TABLE!*
Ninja: RAWR!
Friend: AH! I Get to hug you!
Ninja:...What?
Friend: I GET TO HUG YOU!
Ninja: AWRIGHT!*They both hug*

the weirdest thing I heard at kumoricon last year (my first con) was from darkerlight waking up and going 'why are you guys talking about stealing my pillows?' as she woke up from her nest in the closet

Well it was at a hotel the red lion right by sakura con and this girl went up to a person who works at the front desk and she says im a kitty cat and starts purring very sexually and the person at the desk was a GIRL!!!!! I was scared lol

Fandemonium I:
It was my first con and I had just bought a Kuroneko-sama pillow. Well I was waiting for a DDR tournament [This was going to be the first time I ever played DDR...] and somebody snatched it from me! I had to chase after the culprit in nylon knee-highs on marble floor whilst my beloved friend Sarah was yelling "Ha!! I got your pussy!!!"

AOIV:
There was a keyboard ninja guy that was very scary and him, my friends and I were all hanging out in the Con Suite BSing about where all ovf us were going to crash for the night when he says "I'm sleeping in my car." [Whilst looking at my old friend] like he was trying to get her into his car for the night because he was scary. ;_;

AOV:
Vic Mignogna and Michael Coleman had seen Brokeback Mountain and continued to say "Why can't I quit you!?" back and fourth

A Random Rampage:

Helium Baloons and Zatch bell cards...Helium induced Zaker...Those poor people who were traumatized by my boredom.

Ok, so I just moved back home to take care of my grandmother who has a bad back and I was watching some anime on Anime Network on Demand (I love on demand channels ^.^) and she said to me:

"When are you gonna out grow cartoons?"

I looked up at her and replied:

"These are not cartoons, they are Anime."

A few days later I was downloading and AMV of Elfen Lied set to Disturb's 'Down with the Sickness' and I told her to come watch my 'cartoon' and then asked her when it was over:

"So, are these the kind of cartoons you want children watching? Anime is not a 'cartoon'"

In rebuttle she responded:

"These are not the kind of cartoons I want my 21 year old child watching."

In my mind I did the famous anime fall of exasperation at this point....

Oh... I can only begin to imagine the amount of crazy and zaniness that's going to happen thanks to the hotel that the con is going to be at this year... So I'm going to say this now...

...There's a restaurant at the hotel named Shenanigans... Only gloriousness will come from that... I don't think I could imagine what Zhalfirin is going to have planned thanks to them.

I kind of have to disagree with you... Anime is cartoons... Maybe not the kind of Cartoons that the majority of americns or any other kind of people come to think of when they hear the word, but really they're still 'cartoons'.
I think that the word makes people think of like little children and saturday mornings, and seeing such graphic ontent they worry that it's aimed towads their children (which, it's not in almost all cases. Although, my little sisters friend who's ten, watches Cowboy Bebop and Hellsing...)
