Author Topic: Pocky Club Meeting- Feb. 18th (Read 7225 times)

It seems there's been some confusion about the next Pocky Club meeting. It will not just be about Sakuracon! It's a regular meeting for all the Pocky Clubbers and friends to come and hang out with each other.

We'll be up at the Red Lion (you know, the hotel where the Con is going to be at?) in their Shenanigans *ducks the pistol whip* for lunch on Saturday, the 18th.

The meeting will be a chance for us to get a feel for the hotel and talk about our cosplays. Yes we will go over Sakuracon stuff with those going but right now I only have one confirmation. I want to meet up around lunch time (12:00-1:00) and we'll probably hang out and eat for a couple of hours afterwards. There's shopping nearby for parents and it's good for them to see where you'll be this coming September.

Yes, there will be Pocky there. :wink:

So that I can properly warn the people at the restaurant, please RSVP in this thread if you'll be coming.

Dx Sorry... I already told my mum that I don't need to go because it was about Sakuracon...

And I'm not going to Sakuracon so I don't need to go. x_x Sorry... But... Inform me on how the facilities are! (Take picture if you can?)

UPDATE.

The club will not be meeting in the actual hotel restaurant. THEY ARE TOO FANCY!
Like....wedding fancy.....

So instead, we will meet in the Taco Bell across the street.

I really hope someone comes, even you aren't in Pocky Club.

Panda, I won't be a Sakuracon. Ruki and his sidekick will be there though, if anyone else in the club wants to chip in you guys can go ahead and conduct some Pocky Club activities. Just make sure to follow the rules of the club of course.

I lol'ed. I can't belive you. xD Taco Bell pwns though. So it's okay.

I might be able to get up to Portland depending on the weather. Just about 15 minutes ago it started Snowing. So... If it keeps it up then I won't be there.

I also have to clean my room... again... because we're getting new carpet in.

Sorry i wasnt able to go...midterms are a pain in the butt, we just finished em.
I was hoping on going to sakura con, but i cant afford a hotel room or find a ride. So i will be missing out this year, let me know how things go!!!

It's OK everyone, it would have been weird if you guys had shown up since the island had been invaded! the entire hotel was the dominion of a Christian Youth group convention! While I was waiting around the Taco Bell there was a nonstop flow of highschoolers from different NW churches. It was easy for me to get around the hotel and scout at least!

I was able to find where the meeting rooms were. I thought they were downstairs of the ball room but I was wrong, they're in the WINGS with the guest rooms!

So if you want to be close to the heart of the action, get a room on the First floor! Having a first floor room is better anyway because you can walk out your back door to get around.

but riding the evlavetor is so much fun, you get to meet so many interesting charators like drunk lady asking 4 links which game they'er from, no which GAME your from , ahh memoires

Elevators at the Red Lion won't be nearly as interesting since there's only 3 stories and two wings. If I get my scanner up and running I'll be sure to put my maps up for you all to see.

Maybe we can request a Pocky Club colony of rooms!

Hey, how big are the meeting rooms? I think that we'll need a slightly larger room for PC Panel... probably about the size that the Bakazoku had this year?

good idea....yay roomness, tho last year i used my moms aaa thingy instead of the group thingy... but yeah now on my list of stuff to do
