Hmm....i like sushi period, so.as long as its fresh, im good. My fave is just good ol' ika and tako. Nothing fancy.

Unagi!!! Yes, very good. Sushi hana...i believe ive been there. If I remember, it was really good. I went to I love sushi recently.......meh.

I actually used to hate them cuz I'm not one for super spicy stuff, but I had the ones from Sushi Hana and they were delicious.

I like Sushi Hana. I've been to the one in Vancouver and the one in Beaverton. I've been to a few other places (Chiyo Sushi, Makoto's Japanese Buffet, Sushi Land) but I like the mix of stuff at Sushi Hana the best.

I've never actually been to a sit down and order place, though.

Me and my friend set a date to go to one and when we got there . . they were closed for an hour or so!

I really like Philadelphia rolls. ^^ And I loooove nigiri. Tuna and salmon so good~

Not big on spicy tuna, myself. I generally prefer nigiri over rolls, though I make an exception for ume shiso.

I really like Izakaya in Beaverton, and Tengoku and Syun in Hillsboro.

Mmmmmm umeboshi! I tried the umeshu "choya" pheeeew....its sweet. Plum wine is not my thing.

Too bad... I love plum wine. There's a brand called Fu-Ki (I think that's it) that I like. It's been awhile, but I'm trying not too drink until my first born comes along.

Saburo's in SE Portland. They have large portion sized sushi, but always a long line. Love their rolls and tofu cheesecake <3

D'8 I have such a high standard for Japanese food. I came from California, where teppanyaki is everywhere. It's so hard to find a good place around here.

....I also have very high standards for Mexican food....Which we have found to be quite unsavory here 8I /off topic...in the off topic section awwww yeaaahhh

So I was wondering. Do any of you native washingtonians know any good teppanyaki places?

Or is it just not as popular around here? MAYBE UNDERGROUND TEPPANYAKI THAT IS ONLY SECRET TO THOSE THAT HAVE LIVED HERE FOREVER? >:O CONSPIRACY.

Sushi Train in Tualatin. Mmm...so delicious. We've toured around the whole metro area and just have to keep coming back to Sushi Train. It's the best.

I've been spoiled when it comes to sushi... so I ended up having very high standards, and now the 'quick and cheap' stuff like track style sushi... I've become really picky anymore about the quality and can't stand most of it. I've been to several different places around here and there to try out and compare the sushi they have there, but one place still stands out in my mind as my all time favorite:

It is a restaurant called Tokyo, located in/near Hillsboro, OR. In the Tanasbourne area.

And I adore the Crispy Alaska they serve there.

I also like Syun (again in Hillsboro), but more for the atmosphere and the food there in general, not just their sushi.

The only sushi bar I've been to is Sushiland lol... But it's so goooooood. I love Spicy Tuna Rolls, California Rolls, House Rolls, Fish Cakes, and Crab Rolls..ahhhhh I'm all hungry now =~=

i went there one time dident meen to i got hungry and walked into the first food place i got could find it was good

CHEEEP-O-RAMA kaiten-zushi place called "Sushi Land" on 194th in eastern Vancouver.
They still have $1 and $1.50 plates.
Nom nom nom nom nom nom seven bux and I'm already pretty full nom nom nom...

I like California rolls or Rainbow rolls the most. I mostly get it at Fred Meyer's though. Or this sushi/teriyaki place in my town.

I Love Sushi in Beaverton (on Hall St across from Cedar Hills Mall) is by far my favourite sushi bar. The Hot Pot train isn't anything special, so if you go there ask to eat in the diner portion for the full experience. The crunchy California roll is to die for and quite affordable.
