Someone made a topic like this a few months before the convention asking about weird things they heard at SakuraCon and KumoriCon '04.

So, while our minds and memory are still moderately fresh from KC '05, what were some weird/funny/strange things that you heard people say/shout out/commented on at the Con?

This isn't weird for a con, but "mildly cute boy needs bishie to dance with" would be strange to hear if you were walking down the street.

I almost wonder if you set up that question! You were on the bounce on that one... I learned long ago The Dao of NOT-Being-Shived... and that is to compliment your SO/GF/Fiancee/Wife and her costume. Mind you when you have a sexy one at that, it's very easy.

The weirdest thing I heard acctully had a lot of action. After the Hybrid Kareoke thingy a Yuna had asked to see Clouds sword, and he had said yes, and then when he went to go take it back she whined and hugged the sword for all she was worth, of course it may not sound as funny as it was, but it kept me laughing.

A bakazoku said this to me and I think I died right there on teh spot! Whilst eating my chicken soup after the cosplay on teh bench by the garbage cans a group of people walked by and the long-haired, guitar strumming bakazoku was with them. So I smiled and nodded and he pointed at me and said
"You rock my socks! My socks, rocked, because of you."

THAT . . . I can die happy for.

Just remembered I did this with some people in the elevator. By the way, I wasn't in costume at the time so if you're the people who did this, Hi.

I was in the elevator with about 4 other people. One of the girls turns to her friends and say "Hey, let's do the wave in here."

And so we did. ^_^

Probably when one of the Bakakozu came up to my brother after the dance to compliment him on his dancing. He said that he was pointing him out to other people trying to show him how you're supposed to dance to the beat or something. My brother was like, "Thanks, well.. I'm a musician, so.."

Just kind of reminded me of the "Super Star" skit from Mr. Show in a way . . .

"You got the goods."

Because if anyone knows good dancing, it's someone from an anime convention. :lol:
