My Marluxia wig came in yesterday, but I can't get it until tomorrow. I'll take some pictures with it when I get my top hat from home in a couple weeks and mod it with the gears I have. I also have my boots already. Just need the clothing xD

And my Marly cosplay just got a major make over in sense of design... I need to mod my old Org XIII cloak with some awesome brass things, order my goggles and boots, and then mod the boots. Should be a fairly easy cosplay to complete. I just can't decide whether or not I want to shell out the cash for a scythe...

My bass is all painted and the neck is attached to the body. Now time for the gloss. The gloss is drying on the back of the bass. Tomorrow evening I will do the front and I will take some pictures. Thursday I should be able to start putting some of the parts on like the pick guard, the pickups, and part of the tuning knobs.

Once the 15th gets here I will buy the bridge and the volume and tone knobs as well as the rest of the stuff for the tuners. It is very close to being done :3

Finally tried everything on for Twilight Sparkle.... still need to do the wig (just threw the extensions in so people could see the colors) and need to stabilize my horn. =]

Even just throwing on the extensions, the wig looks really good

I think this will be an amazing cosplay.

I am very excited to say I get to start sewing soon!!

Once the sewing machine arrives in my house, I am planning to have an all-nighter sewing party with my kumoricon buddies that live in my town. =D *is going to stock up on mountain dew and energy drinks for friends*

And I found this website this morning: http://spandexworld.com/ Because I plan on making her bodysuit (altering a zentai suit would seriously take the same amount of work. XP So I ordered a whole ton of swatches to try to decide what color pink I want, what fabric I want (cotton, spandex, rayon, etc), how it looks with nude lining and without, and also which black stretch lace I like best.

I'm super excited to do this cosplay!

Finished up the sewing on Rose's dress yesterday, and did most of the fabric painting. I need to neaten the paint up a bit and probably do one more coat (painting white onto black fabric, ugh) sew her sash and she's dooooone.

I'lll hopefully be able to get pants, shirt and boots for Nice at Goodwill this weekend, and I already have her glasses, ribbon and the stuff for her gloves. She'll come together pretty fast, I think. Marie's eyepatch is done and I'll probably be checking for a shirt I can modify for her at Goodwill too, plus shoes for her and possibly for Dolorosa.

SOO It seems that for the KH Panel, I'm doing a Steampunk!Axel to match Steampunk!Marly. I'm pretty excited to get yet another costume to work on. Wish I could wear a top hat, but the Axel Wig is to spiky. Currently I'm planning out what the outfit will look like~

Oh! You could do a mini tophat. That is on a headband, cuz then you could spike it around the tophat.

So I went digging around in my room last night and i found a cheap pair of winter gloves that would totally work for Rainbow Dash, i would just need to cut off the fingers. I also found a pair of white high-top chucks that I never wear and are just BEGGING to be painted, also for Rainbow Dash. I'm thinking of painting them light blue, making the tongues be rainbow, and painting her cutie mark on the sides of each one.

Gonna start on Steampunk!Axel since I have the design done. Thinking of making a monocle and painting the nobody symbol on it. Need to hunt for a brown vest, gears, and material. =D

Call down to Reds Trading Post and just ask them if they have gears there. Metal are preferable.

Fabric paint works the best. Acrylics are okay too, but they're generally a thicker paint than fabric so it'll be harder for it to dry in my opinion.

JoAnn's has a good selection of fabric paint and Micheal's and Walmart usually have a little section for them as well. Get some sealer too because it's possible for it to rub off and smudge if you don't.

That's what I did with my Kairi shoes and they look fantastic to me. haha

Thanks! I was thinking of using fabric paint in the first place since they're canvas shoes, I just wanted to make sure that it worked. :3 I'll hopefully be able to get started on them soon and I will definitely post pictures.

I used a mix of craft and acrylic paints for mine. They turned out great. But i did get a lot of paint on the rubber part, so id say to tape the rubber with painters tape before painting. And, paint the little metal wholes with the shoes. It took me an hour to just wipe mine off cuz i wanted them black. In the end i just gave up and painted them yellow too.

Woo! I reccomend mixing your paint to get the right shade blue, cuz when i bought the yellow for mine, it was the perfect color, but when i put it on the canvas, it was to lite.

That makes sense. I looked at the fabric paints they had at walmart today and they had all the colors i needed but they were in huge bottles. I only need small bottles for the rainbow colors and then a big bottle for the light blue
