Uhm, I just wanted to update my plans on here.
I'm being Wonderland! Jane as well as Fancy Dreamer! Jane (But I'll mostly be her for the Ball), and then I'll also be Terezi, Kanaya, and UU/uu.

Oh gosh been a while since I've popped up in here, wow!
There have been some big cosplay changes since I was last here. Tavros WAS who I originally was gonna be, but I'm thinking I might actually pass him up this time around--I'm just not feeling him anymore? >A<

Current cosplay plans are:
Eridan
Acquaristuck!Nepeta
Meenah
Jake

Jake day zero and day 3...
I'll probably be Meenah and Nepeta on the same day, and Eridan on the other. I'm not sure which days I'll do which of those, though.

Also been a bit out of the loop, what are the planned Homestuck photoshoots? : O

We've got an informal gathering on Day 1 at 4:13, and the big shoot is on Day 2 at 4:13. Although if you go out to the park, you should be able to see Homestucks pretty much all the time.

Yeah, same! I still need my wigs, need to make/buy weapons and a few props, get more makeup... new armsocks... paint some things...

daaaaang this is coming up fast. i got my makeup for aradia today, now i'm just waiting for the tights so i can make armsocks. i also got suspenders for dude!jane and am going to order a fedora online for that tonight, and then find stickon moustaches perhaps in the next week. then those two are done!.

default rose is finished (plus i ended up with a whole group for that! sweet) and i got all the fabric i need for god tier jane, i just need to...actually sew it...

so im gonna be dude!jane day 0, rose day 1, aradia day 2 and gt!jane day 3.

i ordered some tights from welovecolors for my legs (since i didn't want to paint them) and i got an extra pair which i will be making into armsocks, if that's what you mean!

and i got mehron starblend cake makeup in light grey. i've heard ben nye can feel kind of thick on your face so i decided to go with something else. mehron came pretty highly recommended and supposedly feels a bit lighter, so...i need to do a makeup test (might do that tomorrow) but in the package the color looks pretty good!! i got mine from stagesupply.com and it was pretty cheap too.

(also i bought a fedora!! should get here in about a week. sorry for spamming this thread with progress but i'm getting excited!)

ooh, I saw your makeup palette on Tumblr and was wondering what brand it was. If you have a white fedora you can also use it for Jane! One day, Indiana Jones, the next, hardboiled noir detective.

You also reminded me that I need to run to Hollywood Lights to get more paint and fixier spray. And powder? I might be out of powder. And probably a bruise wheel while I'm there, 'cause I'm weak and bruise wheels are the best.

Ohhh I was just asking because I made some armsocks that I got from that site, I believe, based on a tutorial that recommended them. Only I found the tight colors were off from the ben nye I used... so I was just gonna give a warning about that, if that applied to you. But it doesn't, so no worries then! xD
I need to find some tights that match, 'cause I'm too lazy to deal with mixing anything special.
And since Kcon's so close I want to stick to make-up I already have experience with. ;v;

for ben nye, did you mix colors to get your desired skintone?

or did you find one that works straight out of the package? i still need to get makeup, so i'm just trying to see what people recommend for colors.

i think for ben nye you might have to mix? i've heard bith ways though, they may have a good troll grey i'm not familiar with. like i said above, mehron starblend makes a really good troll skin though!

also yeah, the plan is to wear the fedora for both aradia and dude!jane. dude!jane is going to be the biggest hipster, i swear. suspenders and skinny jeans and a fedora and a fake moustache.

i've heard 2:1 and 1:1 with ben nye grey/white. so i just got one tub of each. gonna play around and hope for the best.

@Kappa - I used one grey and one white, but I also got a steel grey and another white for adding a bit more depth. I pretty much went straight along with this tutorial. I personally really liked the ben nye, but then again I haven't played around with anything else.

Just a little note from a non homestuck fan! Please be sure to seal your makeup! Many cons have been banning troll cosplays or other cosplays with body paint because people have been getting makeup all over the con area. So please seal your makeup! (:

Have the chance to go to Kumoricon. Only ever been to one convention before (maybe two, depending on how you count). Never done any serious cosplay besides Halloween-related shenanigans. So, naturally I'd say I had to find this thread and sign up as soon as I could, but that would be a lie because I've been stalking this thread for about a month now. The idea is to cosplay Gamzee and hope it works. I have a basic idea of what to do; done a lot of research. The horns seem a little tricky, though. If anything it'll at least give me further reason to catch up on Homestuck and get past act five.

I just saw a panel done at Anime Festival Orlando that looked really cool, it was a Homestuck monologue panel. I don't have any experience with panels, so I couldn't do this myself, but I think if anyone is willing to run it we should do a Homestuck monologue panel as well!
