Is thinking about bring my rats to con what do you guys think?

^ Rats as in live pet rats? I'm not sure if that'd be a good idea; it might even be against hotel policies. You may want to call them up and ask. (I don't think it violates any con rules...)

umm. If you're staying at home, but not going to be bringing them into a hotel, how are you proposing bringing them to con when con is in a hotel?

no idea o.o, I should call and ask once i get my phone back. ^^ their good rats they come by their name and never leave my side. took them to the mall with me. a few times .

yeah I made them little sailor moon costumes this year mushi dosent like the skirt part but lusk loves hers. ill have to take photos

if they dont i ll leave me girls at home i took them with me to kumo last year and staff didnt have issues with it. they said along if they stay on person or their bag i carrie them in o.o

hm well as long as the con is okay with it, then sure, but ask the hotel. cuz they are the ones that usually have problems with that sorta thing -.-" just say they are domestic rats. trained rats.

A high energy place like a con? For the safety of your rats, I say leave them at home. I can see you getting shoved or glomped unexpectedly and having the poor critter go flying. If it lands on the ground, it only takes one timely foot to do some serious damage. Best to leave these guys at home.

Most pets are being banned from private places anyways nowadays unless they're service animals. I would be surprised if a hotel was okay with a rat. Rats are still looked upon as dirty creatures from a lot of people (I find pet rats cute myself).

I say bring them to cosplay meetings instead! Show off their cosplays at smaller events where they'll be safer.

Take pictures of their cosplays, too! I'd like the see them since I don't frequent meetings a lot.

yesh true I have them as a surpport animal like i said I dont ever leave with out them or when i do i am with other people i tend to get anxity attacks. and their calming when i am alone. I might have to suck it up when i got on the max to get to the con area. o.o and i rember last year i was attacked by 3 narutos =.= and pined down

Then definitely leave them at home. If you survived last year without them, you can survive this year. Just hearing that you got attacked and pinned down makes me very, very nervous for the safety of your pets. Rats are not durable creatures when it comes to going up against a human being. We've got at least 100 lbs on them, and most of us many more than that. Even turtles get killed when stepped on.

Seriously, thought! At con meetups, people will be more inclined to want to feed them and pet them, I'd bet!

I would love to see them! I used to keep mice (can't any more due to my allergies) so I love seeing people's tiny pets.

I wish I could bring my parrot to the con, but it's just not feasable. Although what sort of costume *would* go with a grey parrot? I can't think of any in anime.

2009 con we brought our two greyhounds; we were on the 14th floor and the elevator was crazy but they did really good! We even had portraits done in the photobooth. They got a lot of strange looks but they were welcomed by the hotel

with advance notice, of course. Red Lion and Hilton both allow pets. I might worry about small pets like rats, though; they are so fragile and with the crowds and all...

Yes but I checked the other day they will allow them. ^^ and i ll get their little rat bag it says rat on board. on the back and along the straps of the carrier dosent look like a normal back pack since its small my grandfather made it for me ^^. so if i do bring them look out for my black bag. they are small and all but normally sit on my shoulders or in their little bag. and they come by name.. well mushi dose not lusk o.o it depends on who i can get to watch them over that weekend becuse =.= they need food and water.
