What would you say is the most cosplayed character you saw this year? i'm not asking you to rant about what people you think are overdone, i'm just curious as to what was popular this yea. I noticed that the ratio of vocaloids this year took a giant shift to Hatsune Miku.

There WAS a ton of Grell. Strange I always considered Sebastian as the more popular character.

I saw quite a few Hatsune Mikus, but there were also quite a few Kagamine Rin's & Len's. Of course, I would say that there were more Len's this year, which is unusual. There usually haven't been so many male VOCALOID cosplayers ion the past.

lots of kuroshitsuji groups this year, and lots of Homestuck cosplays. I was pleased that most if not all went out of the way to paint themselves gray.

I saw a lot of Hatsune Miku, N. Italy, Prussia, and Grell this year.
I also saw a lot of Homestuck, which is pretty different from last year. I think last year I only saw... maybe four?

HOMESTUCK PEOPLE. I can't tell the difference between them so I'm going to group them together and say Homestuck was the most cosplayed. :O

There was a lot of Homestuck, yeah, but there's like half a million characters and I only saw two or three of each, tops. There was a metric *&^#ton of Gamzee cosplayers though. So many buckets. So many horns.

I saw a lot of cosplayers dressed up as characters from Kuroshitsuji (mostly Ciels), Hetalia (mostly Italys), and also Vocaloid (mostly Mikus). I believe that there were more, but the characters from those three fandoms are what I can think of for now.

I think there were more Daves than any other. He's a pretty easy cosplay, so some of them were kind of lazy, but I swear I saw at least 15. There were also a lot of Eridans. (I was lurking around the photoshoot so I got a pretty good idea of how many of each character there were.) Strangely, I didn't see a single Equius. Saw just about everyone else, though.

Probably, yeah. Especially since you don't seem to be familiar with the series and are probably thinking grey skin + horns = Homestuck, yeah? Which doesn't even account for all the human characters I saw cosplayed. XD There was a looooot of Homestuck this year.

Thankfully, some of the most cosplayed fandoms are dying, like Bleach and Naruto. So people who still like the series can cosplay from it and not feel lame.

I saw a lot of Ciel, Izaya (at least their jackets), and Lens both with and without wigs running about.

It makes me glad I have no clue what homestuck is, or I probably would've noticed those cosplayers. On that hand, I saw a lot of casual dressed people, probably due to the heat. I wonder if that's counts? lol

I only saw a handful of the horned zodiac peoples, and it looked like most were wearing the same costume all weekend.

But I also rarely went outside.

From what I saw, it was mostly Homestuck, Grell, and Rin and Len. Especially Rin and Len, I swear for every other vocaloid I saw there was 2 sets of Rin and Len.

However what surprised me was the lack of Naruto cosplays, as those usually dominate everything...

There was a lot of Homestuck but I think there was actually more Hetalia. I remember watching the Hetalia people walk to their photoshoot. The crowd didnt end. It amused me XD

But as for individual characters I think I saw Izaya (Durarara), Grell (Kuroshitsuji) and Dave (Homestuck) the most.

A buddy of mine was Shizuo, so I made a point to count all the Shizuo Heiwajimas I saw on the first day. I got to at least sixteen! That's a lotta Shizuo.

As someone who went as a Chibi Italy and a human Ciel, I saw a lot of myself. Mostly Chibi Italy's and other Ciel costumes. AND of Ciel, they were mostly the girl Ciel! D: Next year I shall be Ciel again... hopefully with more Male types. DX

I ran into a lot of Italys. I like the lesser known cosplay. It made me happy when I was recognized and even better when someone would try to remember the character's name and they would finally remember it and you literally see the light bulb come on.

Yeah, I saw at least three different Nyan Cats, plus a lot of those horned grey people. Who were they anyhow?

The grey people with horns are trolls from Homestuck. It's a webcomic that's become really popular with the anime crowd lately. It's quite good, though the beginning's a bit dull.

Yes, there was alot of hetalia, homestuck BUT I think black butler had the most same cosplayers.... Ciel..... really. Like so many all in the pink dress.... Pretty, but there was ALOT.

Nothing to compair to how many Italy's I saw, being on my self, I think I found a total of 5-7 differant Italys... (All north italy)
And alot of Germanys this year. (Thats new, last time I checked, NO ONE cosplayed him) =/

But so many Ciels........ X.X
