This is actually Chan_Highwind stealing Washu's account for a moment. The following is open to all, why? Because I'm the bride and I say so!!

Event:
The uber-tastic union of Chan_Highwind and Washougal_Otaku.
The theme is Pirates vs. Ninja; but cosplay in general is asked!

Location:
Clark Community College - Fireside Lounge

April 1, starting at 1pm

-waves hands- me! me! im gonna be there as said on the photoshoot thread. im having so much fun hunting down accessories. i actually dont own a lot of rings so im scrounging the antique shops. its almost complete. just need to get a few more things. its gonna be great! im looking forward to this! and im getting help from captain henry's pirate store. also! just wanted to say: we you always have each other as you pillage the villages.

its sorta my own version of saying many years of happiness. i would say it to you in person via microphone, but i have terrible stage fright.

For pirate rings; I hit up the silver ring stands in the malls. they're alright priced and all and that's where I generally get mine from. That and claires. XD But maybe I have a bit of expensive taste.

i like antique stores cuz you never know what youll find there. i was gonna look at claires anyways. along with gifts from afar although they tend be on the pricey side. woohoo! ^^ im gonna be so tired when i finally do drag my butt to bed. right after your wedding/party, i have to get ready for a concert, go to the concert, then head home around midnight. AND! the free prom dress event is the same weekend so i get to wake up early and wait in line. (mostly ill be there for support for a friend. but if i find something i like, ill take it. i mean, its a FREE dress.) im gonna be SO tired. but worth it.

It actually lasted me about two years till the straps died... aka- broke off. ><;; It just sucked cause it was at Winter Tolo of my senior year when it died. I cried in side a bit.

Yeah, gifts from afar is kinda spendy. But really rings are rings. I have this thing for big gaudy rings personally. But that's just me. XD I'm just afraid of the pricing at the antique shopes.

chan: i personally dont like rings that much. i have a couple super nice rings. im trying to get rid of my prom dress. its pretty... just not exactly something i wanna keep. i got it from davids bridal. but no one seems to be interested in the prom dress.

we should have sugar highs together! no worries. and yeah. no one is evening calling about it. and music is amazing! and rings dont bug me, its just that im not a huge jewelry person myself. (mostly cuz i was never allowed to wear jewelry when i was younger and im just not used to wearing jewelry. but i will overcome that! in time...)

Does anyone know where I may find something like sand? I'd rather not use brown sugar or anything like it since it will be April and bringing stuff in the rain.... yeaaaahh...

Its to decorate the food table. I have this awesome idea, having this "bamboo" forest on one side, and a sea on the other with a pirate ship. In the middle a beach where the wedding cake will go.

Possibly, if we're on the same Amtrak train I have no problem with it. Plus you can hang with our anime club, who most also go to Kumori!! I'll double check with Washougal on when it leaves and get back to ya.

Jaz and Roddy: That was the main reason why we said no gifts and it wasn't a huge deal if you couldn't make it. Yes, it wasn't legit and you have every right to be all mad and troll if you even wanted to [I'd totally accept it!] but at the same time it was still heartfelt and if we didn't think we would eventually have a real one, neither one of us would have done this. A lot more talking behind the scenes went into this before hand, and the main tech people there all knew before hand because I didn't want to 'cheat' anyone out of any time of their busy lives. I'm sorry that it offended you and made you all grrrrrrr!!!! at me; but I'm not sorry that it happened. We still loved our Ceremony and the fact we did still commit to each other. <3

PS Roddy: You did make everyone's day by coming, and honestly took my stress about it down still A TON with your help of everything. Trust me, we all love you and I if I would have known it would have had this bad of an effect on you, I would have told you before hand in a message. I'm sorry.

Luv: Yes, it did mean something to us. I actually chewed out the people of the club that had nothing to do that day and didn't come because Aaron and I got really offended that they didn't come.

It was still a very special day to us, and probably will be one of those magical days for us for years to come. Luv: Yes, it did mean something to us. I actually chewed out the people of the club that had nothing to do that day and didn't come because Aaron and I got really offended that they didn't come. It was still a very special day to us, and probably will be one of those magical days for us for years to come. A Kumori-Wedding at Kumoricon would be really pretty fun, I think. It would be by far the most enthusiastic wedding I would ever go to. That's up to you when you get married, Chan! You can make it up to everyone in other ways

cough cough i was engaged but things kinda were too.. crazy...and so i kinda broke it off with him after mewcon and parents aren't exactly happy about who i'm in love with -.-" but yea... i dont care anymore

it's my heart not theirs and i'm sick of having to "please" everyone other than myself.

and i wanted to have it at the beach (which i'm still doing it no matter WHAT happens! DX)
but i wanted to have a party at kcon to celebrate the proposal >.< but not sure yet :/ i may steal that idea miss highwind.

@lychee: i was thinking about the wedding thing, BUT i may or may not do it, cuz it depends. i will be doing a kh wedding for sure when i do :3 either me as Aqua or Kairi :/ not sure just yet >.<

There's been some members of the staff who've been married (including Jaz) and some that've had babies before.

Don't worry; if we do get legally married, we'll be inviting everyone to that one, too! (And I promise, it won't be on April 1 again...).

Well...if we ever do a commitment ceremony I'm going to drag his ass into kumo whether he likes it or not. I got lots of friends who will help plan it. It will be a surprise commitment ceremony for him.

Oh! Or a Mothers of Kumoricon event/panel. Where all mothers go and hang out together and chat. The panel could have 'babysitters' so the younger children could be looked after and it would give the mothers a break and a time to chit chat. And expecting mothers can get some advice and all that. XP

Griffinclaw, that's an idea. There would probably have to be a rule preventing it from people thinking it was an actual daycare, though. It'd be terrible if some child was dropped off and no one knew to watch it.

If you DID want to set up a daycare/babysitting area, you would probably have to have some sort of certification. If you can figure out the legal aspects of that, (CPR training at the very least), it could be a good idea. It could be an extention of the Chibi section of Kumoricon. You'd also have to make sure there weren't any parts that little ones could choke on or shove metal objects into light switches. Kids are really clever and simultaneously really dumb since they don't know what's dangerous yet.

Personally I have no interest in babies or baby related panels, but I fully support something to help out parents and give them people who can relate to parenting. I can't imagine having babies at cons myself. Cons are stressful enough as is! Top a baby on that, and yowza.

Jaz, just so you know, when your baby is born, she's not claustrophobic XD

At my old job, a baby gave a bit of a fuss and the parents went NUTS thinking their 2 week baby was uncomfortable and said they should ask the doctor about it being claustrophobic. It was so funny and cute it was hard not to laugh. I'm guessing those parents hadn't gotten a lot of sleep since their baby just spent 9 months in the fetal position. Babies like small, tight spaces.

They curl up so cutely.

And (god forbid), if you baby is a breached baby, they're so used to having their feet in the air that breached babies often are most comfortable with their legs straight up. My cousin's in nursing school and confirmed this. She laughed and laughed.
