I just got a professional grade camera and I am wanting to get used to useing it before I go to japan so I was wondering if there was any cosplayers that would like to meet up and I could take like free photos for them it can be any cosplay you want or even lolita or if you just want normal pics I can do that to

Place/time Suggestions?

any day perferably earlier in the day or early afternoon... cuz i rely on busses to get to and from and the last bus goes to washougal (where i live) at 6 pm from fishers landing so it would

as for the place portland or vancouver which ever is easier for people to get to and finding a place with like good scenery would be good like maybe the japanese garden or something

You wont be able to go to the Japanese garden. They allow cosplay and they allow pictures of the scenery but not pictures of people in the scenery. We have tried this several time. I really want to do it though because it would be perfect D:

thats wierd because ive gone there in cosplay several times and taken photos of myself and friends in cosplay but they never said anything

They might not have seen you but they do not like it. If they do see you they will probably say that you can't I'm pretty sure I found that information on the website. http://japanesegarden.com/visiting/photography/ the very first bullet says please no portrait photography.

no theyve seen me take photos theve even walked by me and i asked them once if i could take photos they said as long as it was for personal use only and not to make money they didnt care.... ive had a membership at the japanese garden for over 4 years now

I have no idea it has to be either in vancouver or somewhere in portland and if its in portland it has to be somewhere i can get to easily on the max XD

I say Portlan, mainly b/c I don't know Vancouver that well >>

Also, I guess location will mainly depend on what cosplay we do...

Though it's only Nikki and me right now...

I would love to do one of either vocaloid or Pokemon if you're free.
I'm attending the pokemon meet on the 21st so I'll already be in cosplay and in Portland that day with another cosplayer as another trainer.

But I'll also be in Portland on the 19th. Mostly I'll be free from 18-21st of this month to be able to go anywhere really.
I live right near the Clackamas Town Center which takes about 45 min directly into Portland so I can get to there easily.
Or if Vocaloid, my friend Jamie drives so he'd be willing to join the photoshoot as well as Len

But he's only free on weekends.

yeah i dont really know portland or vancouver that well lol I live in washougal so thats why im like either one works and yeah if its cold and depending on your cosplay we would probably have to find some place with some kind of cover to take pictures so you guys dont freeze to death unless its a sunny warm day then its like anywhere is fine.

either one is fine depending on which one you wanna do as long as I have a few days advance notice I can pretty much get out to portland to take photos so just let me know what you wanna do
