Meh, I consider HeliosxChibi-Usa cannon, while I consider PeruruxChibi-Usa fannon, as Helios was created by Naoko and is an original character of the manga- with all his ties with Chibi-Usa's parents in the past too- whereas Peruru was created by the SuperS movie team- and he was created to reflect Helios anyway without actually using Helios. Just like the Promise of the Rose movie, they had Fiore reflect Alan/Ann so they could essentially use the same characters without them actually BEING the same. Then the other movie they didn't need to really create anything based off the anime season of S because they took it directly from the special Naoko did. (graphic novel #11 between S and SuperS)

I would agree with you there.

God. XD I've recently been re-watching the Yuigoh Abridged, and it's killing me all over again. XD

Update on some info about the re-release! Kodasha has confirmed that we'll have the color pages in the beginning as well like in Japan. The Japanese names and cultural references will stay in play, and they will stay true to the "Takeuchi's original storytelling vision and characterization."

My absence has been long, but fruitful!

At Sakuracon I finally got to experience a real SMRPG game session. They wanted me to play Chibi-usa, but I preferred to run the custom knight that I prepared for this specific event.

Now I'm inspired to finally run my own campaign, but am not sure how to go about it. The book itself offers many suggestions, but considering that I'd be turning to forum members scattered far and wide with busy lives of their own, I'd have to look at one session per month.

But if anyone's interested and in the Portland area, I'd be willing to meet up at a game store or park and throw some moon rocks (dice) around. I'm also considering applying to Kcon about holding a session there, so that peeps from the south can enjoy at least one weekend of Moon Power on paper.

So, I've been talking with Chauna as of late on how I'd make it possible for me to do Sailor Neptune this year.  She told me that there's an eBay buyer that she got her Uranus from, and they take credit cards.  (I don't like PayPal, mainly because of how they've treated me).  The overall total was in the $60's, so I might do that...

For some reason this reminded me of a Sailor Moon LARP group I watched on youtube recently. XD And I was like "o.o....that looks....SO FUN."

So...I made a thing. It's the sword for my Sailor Uranus cosplay (I was gonna make a henshin-thing, but swords are cooler).

http://keysmashing.deviantart.com/art/Prop-Space-Sword-207205913

Not completely accurate, but there's no way I could've made her exact sword without having it be incredibly fragile. Since I'm going to be carrying it around, i wanted something a little sturdier.

Thoughts? I'm going to re-glue a couple of parts because the stuff I used the first time dries flexible, so the guards don't hold their weight very well. But I'm still kind of a newb to prop-making, so any suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Hey! For a newbie attempt, it looks great! Really great!

Perhaps next time a good thing to do (assuming you haven't done this already) would be to create a wire armature for the sword.  Using wire and tin foil, you can connect the hilt arms to the handle, and if you make the hilt arms out of one connected piece of wire, you can continue that as a wrap around the handle to bulk that part up. Tinfoil and wire are great when it comes to stretching the amount of clay you have, too.

Also if you haven't done it, sandpaper is a props best friend. :)

Wire would be a good idea, except the main body of the sword is made of wood. It worked out well because it's light, solid and sturdy, but attaching the guards is tricky. I'm going to try Epoxy glue, since it's what I used for the spiral on the end of the handle, which seems to be attached really solidly. I would have used it for my first attempt on the guards too but I ran out and I thought the other adhesive I had might work too.

Gorilla glue is awesome since it sticks to pretty much anything and is possibly the world's strongest glue. Problem: it puffs up. Sandable, but with effort. Epoxy is a great first choice, but if you need a last resort ^ there you go.

Seriously, though, awesome prop.

.......jason.... you.... you lucky person ;______; i always wanted to do the rpg but NEVER got my hands on it ;-; why must everyone live 5 hours away?
Probably because Queen Serenity was in a hurry when she was plotting the time jump and trajectory for us, her loyal moon subjects, with the Negaverse knocking at the door.

At K-con whether I get it officially announced or just post it on here, I plan to have a con-themed campaign for all to join as the characters they cosplay or fans that they come as. There will be clones of all heroes and villains, but with a twist to the typical SM scene.

More wonderful news guys! >D

According to this official Italian website (translated with google), rights have been acquired by companies in the US to start making merchandise again, and it looks like we might even get some games in the future (judging by the fact that "multimedia" rights were acquired by Namco Bandai Games America). And Topps also acquired some rights, so perhaps we'll be seeing some other things. PARTY!

Looks good, lychee. Definitely gonna make my life easier.

So Wrath and I met up at WNW and came up with some ideas. We were thinking to start with a quick overview of the series with as many cosplayers as possible and everyone in character. She wanted to keep it mostly to a discussion panel talking about sub v. dub, the upcoming rerelease, controversial issues in the series, etc. We were also thinking some kind of trivia/quiz part.

Thoughts, anyone?

Thanks, all. That means a lot to me :) Wa-kun, if you need a better tutorial, I can try and make something up for you.

As far as the panel idea goes, I think it sounds great! Doing a refresher on it is an awesome idea with the re-release of the manga. Quiz would be great, too.

You guys should totally try and get one minute series re-enactments going o3o That'd be so hilarious.

It would! Would someone be willing to write the scripts?

I honestly don't know their screen names on here, but the couple who went under the entry name "every episode of Sailor Moon" and did an awesome skit in the cosplay contest last year would be a great start.

Thanks, but it might be suitable for the person that is going to be making my costume for me.  (Which reminds me, I should talk to her soon about it...)
My cosplay plans for 2022 (thus far): Vanir from Konosuba

Miiiight be a good idea. ;)

Wrath Chan, best place to come up with the scripts would probably be here if no one's willing to volunteer their services. I'm not a great writer on my own (which is why I can't do the RPG thing you guys are talking about :< I'm jealous of people who can write and do good character development), but I'm not bad with feedback in a group.
