Wy: Need to make jacket, hem & add lace to shirt, make her tie-thing, maybe mess with the wig a little
Austria: Only adjustment left is to shorten & maybe dye the jacket
Succession!Austria: Ohgod. Like, no progress, short of owning the wig ;;
Fem!America: Paint (or Patch?) the jacket, make the skirt & shirt, figure out what her necklace is, trim wig when it gets here
Original Art (After Sakura): get the hat, chop up my shirt, get the flag bikini top, get blue jean shorts
Iceland: Putting off until summer (or after Sakura). Might drop, even though I own the wig
Secret: It'll happen if it happens (Everything)

I'm waiting for a good couple things to make their way to my door. And I almost had Seborga's wig to mess with, but it's over $60 with shipping, so I'm waiting for Coscom to have a sale.

Saki: Pioneer Place doesn't like big, loud groups either, and the only space there for a large group to hang around is the food court. I'd recommend meeting in a park. But not Pioneer Square or Director Park, since those usually have a good amount of people.

Rozen: I'd be up for a Eugene meet, depending on when it is.

I just posted the meetup in the PYOA topic. We're going to be meeting up at Pioneer courthouse square before we head to Pioneer place (It all really depends on how many people show up. Because if it's as many as there were last year, it might not be too big of a problem. If it's as many as the Christmas meetup, then we're just going to have to stay in the Pioneer courthouse square)

So I decided that there are just too many Hetalia cosplayers right now, so I'm not gonna cosplay Hetalia this year.

I'll probably still come to meet ups and such, but I'm waiting til the fandom dies down a little more before I dare go to a con as Hetalia.

I know what you mean, I will probably only do America now for shoots and small meets. There are too many Hetalia cosplayers XD. Naruto finally died down at Kcon last year, didn't see too many, so hopefully Hetalia will die off soon too. Sakuracon is probably going to be infested with Hetalia.

Dude, really, it doesn't matter about how many there are, it should be about the quality. Honestly, if you make an amazing costume, then you will stand out from every character like you. And if you don't want to deal with the crowds of them, don't go to the shoot.
It's just like the Naruto fandom, which I was right in the middle of it's big time too. Except there was A LOT more of it.
But I do a lot of con hopping, so maybe I just have experience from larger conventions.

I think she might be just annoyed with the massive amount of rabid/stupid/insane Hetalia fangirls there are everywhere (Hell even I'M starting to get tired of them...to the point of even wanting to give up the series at one point(but that quickly faded due to the discovery of actual SANE Hetalia fangirls out there a.k.a. fangirls who know when to stop screaming at something they like)).
Also, is not really fun getting an amazing and exspensive cosplay and not going to a photoshoot/con gathering to show it off to a bunch other fans of the same series. It makes it feel a little pointless.

I really hope to fix up my cosplay for this year so it doesn't look as crappy.
It's so awesome to be able to remember some of you, though ; 3;
Maybe this year I can actually cosplay other characters besides Fin 8D

To stay on-topic, though, yes. The more rabid fangirls of the APH fandom are... Shall I say, a bit unpleasant to be around DX
Which is why I kept grimacing during the showing of the first six episodes and there was a ear-splitting fangirl screech whenever Italy so much as thought of 'Pasta~'. One time I can understand, but then it just kept happening and and and yeah.

I agree with this. Some of the fandom is insane.

However, as insane as a fandom might be, it would never stop me from liking a show. I may be reluctant to talk about it or go to certain areas in real life and/or the internet because of the fandom, but it wouldn't completely dampen my opinion of the show. I refuse to let them ruin it for me.

Like, I am a huge germany fangirl (I have a **** load of germany stuff in my room) But I know my limits... And I respect people. Plus to many people at con glomp with out asking and that can suck.

But to many cosplayers I don't think bugs me. But I understand were people are coming from though.

Well nothing is going to stop me from cosplaying as Hetalia characters xD I think it would be understandable for us to have the right to push/yell at an insane fangirl to make them get away (i did sort of exspect that kind of stuff to happen with Tamaki...just not nearly as bad as i thought. I only put up with it because of my "for the love of all that is right, stay at least somewhat in character!" way of thinking...sorry, i'm just sort of ranting on now).

Saki- If you have a nice, expensive cosplay that you love, then people will take pictures of it regardless. Or that's what I've come to discover.
Also, ranting is good. It usually makes you feel better! ^^

I dunno. I'm not one to let stupid little 14 year old(I swear, they're all 14-16.), yaoi obsessed fangirls get me down, and push me away from something. -shhruuugggss-
But then again, I'm also extremely loud and intimidating if I need to be.... So most people tend to shut up when I snap at them.
Useful for when you're trying to run something or get somewhere (Or move a 6 foot Bahamut through AX). Not so useful when you're supposed to be a quiet character (Yuna leading Bahamut around. I have the most horrifying picture of it. XD).

I guess I'm ranting as bit too. DX I'm sorry....

I am 14, but I know my limits.
Last year was INSANE with that stuff though. It drove me insane. I had people all most making me fall to the floor (with glomps) and that sucked because I have ball-joint dolls with me and I dont want them broke. And also a CRAP load of screaming!

I hate being automatically characterized as a fantard for liking Hetalia. But if we don't stand tall and push through it and represent fandom well, then who will? The stigma will remain. I'm looking forward to the day that some new shiny desu omg so awesome series will appear that the masses will move to and I can enjoy Hetalia with awesome folk again in relative peace. The Hetalia fandom was AWESOME way back when, but those days have moved on. I still love the series and will keep cosplaying from it until... Until the day I chose not to do so anymore. xD

People who are all "omg Desu!" And they even say Desu wrong... Its not Des-uuuuuu, Its just Des.
And when people use the word Kawaii! I hate it now. (But I am ok with people using it if they are saying a hole sentance in japanese)
But god... I hate that.
