They look like real piercings without the whole needle in the ear part!

Good for you.~ And let's see...they might have stuff like that at Michael's. Or another craft store, I'm not sure. Check around plastic tubing can't be that hard to find!

Oh I just remembered I got my hair dyed today! I got my roots touched up and the pink dyed out. I gotta straighten my hair and then I'll take a pic.

I've been deeply inspired by pictures and parts of the anime...I'm thinking of getting some extra fabric and maybe shirt and making a bloodied version of Kida too for some photos. I just need to think of some effective fake blood mixture. Since I know the kind of "fake blood" they sell in stores isn't that great...at all.

Oh my gosh bloodied Kida would be so cool! And actually I have some fake blood I got at a party store that's pretty good, it actually looks real when it's wet. I don't really have a use for it anymore, you can have it if you want.

And here's my hair:

My mom straightened most of it with her amazing new straightener, it gets way hotter than mine because it's newer >: So hopefully Haley and I will be able to replicate this at the con.

Can I really?! That would be so amazing! I would be so happy if I could use that, since I'm not having a lot of luck finding good mixtures at the moment. And I've always wanted to try a bloodied character costume. x3

Wow that looks...like Anri. xDDD Great job Katie!~ That new hair straightener definately did the job, and the new dye (covering the pink and roots) helped tons too!

Thank you guys so much! I'm glad you like my hair! I'm going to go through the series and screencap Anri's hair from various angles and then have my friend trim it again more like her's. I think she has it a bit shorter in the back.
And Dana I'm planning on hairspraying my hair on Monday. I've had my hair like this for about three and a half hours and nothing has changed. Hng I want my mom's straightener now, it gets super hot which is why it works so well. Plus it makes my hair all shiny ;-;

And Man-Celty! The sad thing is that man has a better body than most Celty cosplayers. Although you can see his bra or whatever through the suit :/

Well I went to Fred Meyer's today and was able to get my Kida pants, shirts, jacket (though it has some pockets that might not be in the original oh well it's no biggie pockets are always good at cons), and bracelets. So great progress has been made! >8D I feel so lame since everyone else is sewing their cosplays here but...meh. xD

OMG ALYSSA I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING ABOUT BLOODY KIDA. so fun to do~ Also, the ear cuffs look great! I wish I could do them, but they would be placed wrong cause my ears are pierced :\

Hello! I can't seem to find a good Anri wig for my cosplay, and I really don't know if I can pull off her hairdo. (Incidentally, I have black hair, near her length! Just no bangs...xD;) So any wig sites you may know of with good shipping? I don't know if I can trust Amphigory, but they do have a reasonably priced wig. http://amphigory.com/wigs_a_hope.html I just don't know if this is long enough? Sorry to trouble you guys!

I've never ordered from Amphigory, but I think the wig would work fine~ Anri's bangs are slightly more blunt than the wig's, but that would be easy to fix.

I've heard that Amphigory is a very trusted site though. Personally to me that wig looks a little flat, but it'd work with some good ol' fashioned styling. :3

And I'm buying most of Anri lol. I only made the skirt, and that's being used for another cosplay anyways.

Fachion, no problem. Sorry I wasn't faster on linking it. But on another note: don't break out the lenses in glasses! It ruins the effect of having glasses for cosplay in the first place. D: A lot of glasses come without prescription glass in stores. When I was at Washington Square I tried some on and nothing changed so I think some are just glass to start off with anyway. Maybe it's just me though. ;;Leaves general question to Katie feels bad for breaking in a question not posed to her.;; xD

I probably shouldn't give away my secret, but my plan is to buy a pair of deluxe Harry Potter costume glasses and sand off the HP logo. They're realistic glasses in the right shape with clear glass in them! I've actually gotten dollar store reading glasses and broken the glass out for a costume, it looked okay. I'd do that this time but they don't sell round reading glasses.

@Romo: Aw, thanks, and no problem! :] I actually don't live in Portland, lol, I'm all the way up in Seattle. But I can maybe get a friend to help me, or I can look around a bit more. I seem to have a problem of attracting glasses with perscriptions. (Mostly Reading glasses..) Clair's doesn't have the wire rimmed, but they do have a variety of colored thick rimmed glasses, I found out the other day. xD
@Fleur_fraise: Maybe I'll check on a few dollar stores up here. Thanks for the idea! I haven't thought to look at a dollar store! (And no worries, I'll do my best to not steal your secret!)
