if you guys are interested ...

on july 7, 7 pm, they are holding a 'tanabata star festival' at the Portland Japanese Garden. Celebrate Japan's popular summer festival, which has it's own roots in an old fable of two celestial lovers who are allowed to meet only once a year, on the seventh day of the seventh month. The festival will feature koto music, dance, and a wishing tree.

maybe you can get an early cosplay out of it? :3

Those of you lacking rides, here is the bus that goes there.

The 7th is a Thursday, so remember that. The last bus to get you there leave at 6. You'd have to find some other way home afterwards, and walking to the MAX isn;t that attractive up in the hills. Though it'd only be about a half mile stroll to the Zoo across the hills or the Goose Hollow stop at the bottom of the hill (a downhill hike I believe not so bad).

I won't be in attendance due to my lack of funds. Must save up for that lonely hotel room after all.

I got my Kimono at Disney World... At the Japanese section of the World Showcase.

Costed almost 200 for shoes, obi, socks and teh acctual kimono.

I got my kimono is Japan...haha I am half japanese you know....mom's side ^^ Yeah well its like $100 for the kimono...the socks were $20 and so were the shoes and then the obi was like $15....yeah kinda expensive ^^.....I'll be wearing a purple one thats kinda silky...hmm and i have black hair...thats sorta meduimish....as long as no one has the same colors you can spot me^^ Oh and pinkichigo I dont even know your cellphone but I'm sure you'll be veryyy eassyyy to spot. ^^

^^ wahh i couldnt goo....i spent all the time looking for the house from 6pm to 9pm we spent the whole day looking for her house -.-;;; so no festival...haha I knew I shouldve just took the tri max to portland wow I missed it...and my feet hurt T.T....it sucks not having a car >.<
