First time wearing a wig for me too.

If anyone is attending Kcon for the first time and think they can keep up with me you can tag along, I will be taking photos of pretty much any panel I find interesting, along with random cosplayers/moments.

Yeah man, never rush a cosplay- If you don't feel like it will be a good turnout- then just work on it and wait till the NEXT con you attend.

Yeah, just enjoy it casually the first time I say- Bring a camera and enjoy the sights, panels and dealers hall.

then next time jump into an awesome cosplay (that you will have had all year to work on!) and join the crazy festivities.

i dont really know anyone going to the con except maybe 1 or 2 staff members.... It's been like that for a couple of years now. I just kind of drift from here to there at the con and im not really much of a cos player due to me being alittle shy or embarresed(Not quite sure which) ..... But if you want to hang alittle at the con let me know same with the rest of every one else im up for meeting new peps especially peps that drink

Tips for new people (and myself) on how to meet and greet others:

1) ask about their cosplay, start talking and go from there..

2) ask to take a picture or two, same above.

3) go to events you have interest in and try to mingle. Note, most events you are watching things, so it may be difficult to talk to anyone other then setup or after the "showing."

4) cosplay! If you are in cosplay, and it is any decent at all, people will come talk to you! (I'm hoping)

5) not really a new thing, but if you get talking to someone/s, ask what they are up to (if it isn't obvious) and if you can hang out with them. Most people should be glad to have more like minded fans to hang out with as long as they are not busy or into their own private conversations with those they already know.

just going to be a fat kid in a carhart shirt and kamo shorts or in jeans. But that might be a good thing not too many peps like that at the con

lol. If i could find a naruto orange yukata or kimono which ever i would love to cos play as the naruto in the ending theme were him and sasuke are samurai walking past each other

I am a big fan of wigs personally...don't have to re-style it everyday. But seeing as it is so close to con, you might have better luck dying & styling your hair to match...which un-fortunately involves cutting your hair to match that style. It all depends on the level of accuracy you want in your cosplay really

, I might get it cut and styled that way. I finally got the mask too!..., payed 70 bucks for it...and its a joke haha. It looks cool and all, but its very cheap, I just got it out of the box and it cracked, plus its big on my head T.T...so im gonna look like a n00b cosplayer with the mask on this year haha.

I found a Hei mask on ebay last year that somebody had hand made & it was very well made. I didn't think to grab it at the time since I wasn't planning on putting together that cosplay for a while...now, naturally it's gone.

Anyway, just keep poking away at ebay unless you are willing to find somebody that will commission a new one for the next con

My first 2 conventions I didn't even have a cosplay so don't feel bad.

No problem, I hope more people use these but apparently "The Tutorial Thread" http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=12898.0 doesn't like masks or something, and didn't put them on the main page. Seems pretty stupid to me, they are good tutorials. If she wasn't just making the thread for her personal use she would add all the other good tutorials and not just the crap she likes, so you have to dig around the thread for more stuff.
