I was sitting around looking up random things today, and I searched up Hamtaro.
I remembered how in love with it I was when I was really little. And I've decided that I want to cosplay Hamtaro himself.
It's going to be a Gijinka of sorts~
So, anyone want to join in the Ham Hams?

AND THE ONE AT KUMORICON WILL BE AT 1:00 ON SATURDAY (or day one, as some of you like to call it ) We're meeting on the 2nd floor. I'll be in my Hamtaro cosplay (duh) so just look for orange. We'll chill there until 1:30 then head off to the park... (I still have yet to look up which one)

What I was thinking I'd do is get a white fleece coat that hung down a little past my waist, then sew the spots and ears on with orange fleece fabric.
I would also have face-paint for whatever I did, to continue the spot going over Hamtaro's eye.

That, was my plan.
and I would have either an orange wig, or my hair pulled back.

Probably around... an estimated $25-$35 dollars for materials (depending on the fleece you bought and the ham ham you were doing) and (depending on the pattern brand and where you got it) $5-$20 for the pattern.
Adding up to $30-$55
(my ranges Dx)

I think I'll be him for Sakura, and Kumori ^_^

I have these bobby pin clip kind of things. I could make a little slot in the bottom of the ear and leave the bottom half of the clip exposed so I could slide it into the wig and nothing would show. : 3

The headband idea would be plan B if the ear is to heavy though. Enless I use a light fabric and foam. : o

QUESTION:
Should I get a wig with ears for Hamtaro, or should I make my coat with a hood with ears on it. Either way I am going to have facepaint for the splotch over Hamtaro's eye. Amy and I already decided that having a wig that went over 1 eye because it would make him look emo, and he is definitely not.

Her fur is actually brown as seen when her blanket flies up at one point...so probably something like a flip hair style or pig tails.

So I don't know about ACTUAL clothes for her but anyways!

I'm going to make a yellow cape like Belle's during Winter (Beauty and the Beast).
Imma make brown ears to match my hair and put holes in the hood of the cape so the ears can stick through.
For the sleeves I'm going to have them go past my hands and turn into like a glove of sorts. But it can be pulled back and attached to itself with Velcro so I can still use my hands.

So...the under part is a toss up right now. ^^;
I'm thinking maybe a white summer dress or matching our Pashmina.
OR wearing this totally bitchin yellow dress I have! But then it'd be out of characters cause it's booby and it'd be like "BAM! Penelope grew up!"

Jingle is 100% done. Guitar looks awesome. The actual cosplay....not so much. Considering I had to glue gun all of it. x D And I miffed up on the ears. BUT IT IS DONE! < 3

So I was disappointed by the lack of Ham Hams at our shoot, though Sam and I had a lot of fun we missed Gryff and Fate.

D: We're sorry we couldn't attend!
We had issues with costumes and shoots effecting other shoots.
We had about three shoots in a row and the timing stuff got us really out of sorts and in the wrong outfits and we were totally not ready for the sudden rush of activity that was going on.

At first, I was actually honestly pissed at you guys, but Anya, Sam, and I had a crapton of fun at the shoot, and got some great pictures of the two of us.
My Oxnard ditched out too, but I'm commissioning Paperoxas an Oxnard so we'll have some good times.
I was honestly surprised that you guys didn't show, as you seemed very enthusiastic about the whole ham ham thing.
