Sorry if there is a post some were about this.

Ok... Well every year I I go to the Asain celebration in Eugene. And I'm thinking on one of the days I'm going to dress up as Lucy from Elfen Lied.

So any one else cosplaying or dressing up for this event?

last year i went to asian celebration and didn't see many people at the kumoricon room, and didn't see anyone cosplaying, that doesn't mean it didn't happen, I just didn't see it.

Yah I see a few here and there. I hope there are some. Once some one was Sailor Moon. I got a photo of her. =)

The 2010 event is planned for
February 20 & 21
Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p. m. and
Sunday 10:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m.
Lane Events Center at the Lane County Fairgrounds, Eugene, Oregon

From the official website I got by typing 'Eugene Asian Celebration' into Google.

I've meant to go the past few years, but never bothered. I think I might go on Saturday, dunno if I'm gonna go in cosplay though.

I go almost every year. It's kind of a Eugene Tradition. You have to make an appearance at the County Fair, the Saturday market (at least once a month) and the Asian Celebration. Or maybe that's only in my family... IDK... XD

I'll prolly show up with my Zexion in casual cosplay to wander around. My friend Laura used to be in the fan dancing group they have perform. Zexion and I were in it for a while and I got to perform in the Olympic Try Outs they held at the U of O campus. It was amazingly fun...

I'm going on both days and I mayyyy cosplay either England or Fem!Canada... or just wear my plain yukata that I usually wear every celebration. *shrug*

Yeah, I only saw two Akatsuki cosplayers and that's about it.

They should like, give a more noticable cosplay encouragement or something to make more people aware. That could at least provide more fun and entertainment at the celebration. Plus, cosplay counts as a part of the culture; so we would be pretty much demonstrating that to the "normies" as well. ^.^

i saw some kind of really REALLY bad namine and an axel that hung out with someone who just did their hair like sora's and wore a shirt that said SORA on it! XD

i usually just run straight to the booth that sells anime stuff!

Pfft. Lovely. I must have overlooked them which would be pretty easy for anyone from the sound of their "cosplay". xD

As for the anime booth, that will be my next stop after I get my hands on the bubble tea cuz the line there gets super long.

Well me and my friends are going to have a doll meet on the days. (Asain ball-joint dolls)

So I'm not sure what day I will be cosplaying.

We are hoping to have cosplayers. Oddly, we had more two years ago then last year.

On the schedule there is a meetup time for cosplayers in the Kcon room. Please encourage cosplayers to come by then. The organizers of the celebration really want us to draw cosplayers and other people who appreciate Japanese pop culture to the event. So, if anyone can spread to word to Eugenian cosplayers that would be awesome.
