Hope I'm not Step'n on anyone's toes with a cool thread about
peoples favorite Japanese (or really... basically asian treats)
Candies/Cookies/Cakes!

So... Whats Your Favorite, Why and Where do you get it?

Mine is MILK POCKY!

I love it because it's just slightly odd, sometimes hard to find but very
sweet and tasty! I have to buy it online because, while I haven't checked
uwajimaya in awhile... I don't believe they carry it.

My favorite over all? Geeze.
Well I am always in the mood for choco-Strawberry Reverse Pocky, but that was discontinued in early 2006.

Currently my favorite Pocky is the new variety of Cocoa Cookie Crush.

stuff was discontinued! Thats never fun!

I always wanted to know, does anyone else like the Rice snacks just for the rice paper? Or am I just wierd?

I would have to say the families fav is wasa beef potato chips really hard to find, uwajimaiya stopped having them 2 years ago, and last year i found a place online orders them, then they closed down, j list just now started carry in them i just ordered some on sunday

Choco-strawberry reverse pocky? I need to see a pic of that. That is the flavor I'll need to mimick into a sword for my skit next year.

the festival kind of high chew is funny, candy apple, which is apple with bits of sugar candy in it and cotton candy, I also ordered a bag of winter flavored hi chew, made with fresh hokkaido milk

STRAWBERRY IS BEST! It is dependable no matter the brand name or price!

Chocolate depends on the brand though, some of them are really weird tasting.

Tomatoes are my friends. Tomato flavored things ... often not.

Though, I can have a certain brand of strawberry ramune. IIRC, it's colored with tomato extract.

Oh, that reminds me, Hakatamon makes charshu from scratch and w/o dyes ... I need to go and try it someday. Though, it's hard for me to not order the udon.
