Who else is going as a character from SSB this year? Because it would be cool if we had another photoshoot like last year.

I'm at like 70% I have (almost) all the things I need and I only need to alter a few more things. I'm almost done with the shield but I haven't started on the sword yet

I <3 super smash bro's! If I had enough time I'd do leopard print Snake. I might go as Snake, but it'd be from mgs3... So not sure if you want that snake. But either way hope to see all your guys outfits!

Say, I tried to get a SSB photoshoot earlier, but didn't get much response. That obviously doesn't mean there won't be dozens of Nintendo/SSB cosplayers, though. I'm planning on scheduling a photoshoot right before or after the Zelda shoot on Saturday. Input welcome.

Yes yes. To clarify, I meant that I want to schedule a Smash Bros. photoshoot before (or after) the Zelda photoshoot. Either way I think they should be next to one another.

How long do they usually last, anyway? People usually estimate an hour, but at Sakura Con's SSB/Nintendo photoshoot people dispersed long before then.....

I've been trying to coerce my friend into letting me bring his like 3 1/2 foot tall Fox McCloud statue to con as a joke..... but so far he hasn't given me an answer so chances are I won't be bringing him along for the adventure =[

I'll definitely be there as SSBB Princess Peach! The Brawl gathering at AX went wonderfully, there's so much overlap in games that there should be a large group if we can get a gathering going.

That's probably realistic. I agree; it should be a 30 minute gap between the two shoots.

For the photoshoot I suggest 1:30 on Saturday for zelda and 2:00 for Smash bros. because I think Smash bros. is gonna run longer than Zelda and most LoZ people will stay for SSB. Does this work for everybody else?

If it's saturday, Lucas is out.
All of my shoots are on Satuday, and most of them over lap with the host club tea party. So, for the most part I'm stuck in the tea party forever, and I miss a bunch of photo shoots.
It sucks!

Likewise, if we do Sunday, I will probably be unable to participate. It takes over an hour to get into my costume, and I am wearing it Saturday since I have a matching mask for the masquerade on Saturday evening.

If you're prioritizing the Host Club Tea Party, and the other shoots are already overlapping it, then you're already going to miss most of them. Moving the Smash Bros. shoot means moving the Zelda shoot as well... It would make more sense to tell us the time of the tea party so we can see if it's possible to work around it on Saturday.

Ugh, really? Dangit. That may change my cosplay plans quite a bit. I was going by what I remembered from the preliminary schedule at a previous staff meeting. It's kind of difficult to plan photo shoots when the info about what's set in stone is scattered across the forums and buried in the event rules.

Now, I'm referring to all big events, not just the Masquerade Ball. I just found the "Masquerade Wonders" thread, but until now I had no idea there'd be any official information in it... Is there a way to find this out without second-guessing forum topics?...

So hey, what events is everyone concretely planning on attending? In other words, what should we avoid? Let me know so we can take it into account. I'm assuming the Cosplay Contest and Karaoke Contest are big "no"s. Will also try to avoid the Smash Bros. tourney.

The official schedule's ~~supposed to be out by Friday morning, according to a staff contact~~ already posted, so read it now!!

Also, the guy putting together the photo shoot schedule said he could accept additions until Saturday (I requested another day).

Hmmm, no posts? Today is our last chance, guys. If we don't have discussion I'll just reread the thread and pick a time.

As it stands, though, I've checked the schedule and have a suggested time: how about Sunday at 2:00pm? There are no super-major events at that time; just regular panels and guest panels. Is that acceptable?

Also, where would we like to hold this? I haven't seen the fountain plaza or pioneer square yet, so I don't know what's preferable.

EDIT: Since the discussion has apparently ended I'm just going by what people said and scheduling a time. We have two people objecting to Saturday and no other time requests. So I'm scheduling Sunday at 2:00pm at the Fountain Plaza. (FYI, I'm going to schedule the Zelda photo shoot 30 minutes prior to that at the same place.)
