Since I'm not doing anything sepctacular for the 4th this year, i'm going down to the waterfront to watch the fireworks and wanted to know if anyone wanted to come with me? Not sure if I'm gunna go in cosplay. I'll be comming in cosplay as Chibi Lolita Axel [MAYBE if i can get my hair to stay spiked up]

I'll talk to some people on YIM and see if they wanna come.

Where: Waterfront Fountain [its near the World Trade buildings/Hawthorn bridge]
Time: 2pm
Things to bring: Food, extra clothing, fireworks?, camera [I won't have one mom's taking it]

yes I am (Red Scout from Team Fortress 2) oh and one more thing I'm bringing fireworks...and not the type you use a match just the pop its and so on...also I'll if it gets really hot I'll bring sun screen as well..I'll give you my cellphone number if something comes up.

I heard that it is going to be really hot should we ware our full costumes or try to keep our selves cooled and what is our backup plan if it gets to hot?

Im making my own bento and i can bring my ipod and speakers but i barely have anything cause like my old comp died and now i have to replenish my music supply....... Ill try to download more XDD

Cause like im only 14

oh and we should tell alot of people about this (like on other sites or to your friends) so we can get an OMEGA BIG GROUP!!!! Cause like my mom will be like O_O if theres only like 5 peoples goin

I can drop by. I don't have any plans because the friend I was going to go to Pacific City (read: best illegal fireworks show ever) with is working on the 4th.

You're talking about the fountain just north of the westbound bike/ped exit off of the Hawthorne Bridge, right? That's pretty easy for me to get to assuming I'm awake.

There won't really be fireworks around there until, like, 9 or 10 though...

okk so bring some extra clothes in a bag like just some shorts or a t-shirt stuff in some sandals or somethiin too if ya feel like it

or you can wear a comfertable cosplay costume. mine is going to be really comfertable but im probably am going to end up wearing shorts and a t-shirt by the end of the day XDD

oh and if we really need a back up plan..... hmmmmmmmm ok how about goin somewher air conditioned!!!! or in the shade??? maybe we could go freak out at that park by the loyd center cause its all shady and theres a fountain!!!! :3

I am a maybe. If I do go though, I might show up as trunks...with trunks, and stand in the fountain "powering up" like I did last year.

Alright, so yes D. Tofu, the fountain near hawthorne bridge. I won't be in full cosplay, seeing as how I don't have my Axel wig so I'm gunna try to spike my hair as best as I can since I'm home alone for a few days. It would be awesome if you showed Lotus.

Eh we all coped out around 8 and came home [I wanted to find Sayda and Anna and say hi but we didn't see you], we were all tired and i had water get shot up my butt when Duck and I ran through the fountain in our cosplay[and now I know what it feels like to be butt raped] Devin, Duck, Tanis and I lost Meep after the sprinklers turned on so we went walking around downtown, We took some awesome pics, I wanted to stay for the fire works but then it was a two hour trip home so I had to leave while the buses were still running, that and being in cosplay. At night, in the middle of portland. Alone, didn't sound very appealing to me. anyway, I'm home safe and sound, just got home a half hour ago. Wish I could have stayed longer at the waterfront, but I gotta yell at the manager for cutting down a bunck of trees that shaded my apartment

we did, minus me getting water up the butt/knocked in the head [I have a goose egg on my hairline]/and biting my tongue all the while running through the fountain...

I waited at the fountain, cosplays in hand. Then faded away to the bus stop around 8:45. I encountered a case of cosplay blues...at the blues festival.

Wonderful. We left the fountain area at around 4, and had a photoshoot, then we did a little search for Sayda and Anna with no luck. and left at around 7:30 or so. It was getting late and I'd have to take the bus/MAX home and didn't want to be getting home around this time. I'm sorry you missed us. You should have shown up earlier. We didn't want to stick around the fountain for all day. We left when we lost Meep and meep's mom after the sprinklers turned on. Then we followed the hot Japanese guys and had a red bull [where the hell are my wiiiings?] then went to pioneer for food and potty break, then we had our photoshoot, that's when I led the search for Sayda and Anna. [I wanted to look on the other side of the hawthorne bridge but Duck told me no, that's when we left. I even kept an eye out while we walked along the water front.] Jason, I'm surprised you didn't see us when we finally did come back to the fountain at around 7-7:30.

Were you in cosplay? There were so many kids running through the fountain. I think I went to go check on pioneer mall while you came back. And by the time I found out it was closed and went back...d'oh. The bus hated me today But at least I came, I saw, and got to think about some things.

Sorry you guys didn't find us! We actually didn't end up going until later when the fireworks were going to start. That, and we decided not to go in Cosplay. I think my wig would have suffered a lot with that many people in the Blue's Festival. It also didn't cost anything as far as I knew, we just brought cans, and we got in. The fireworks were disappointing though, I wasn't impressed.
