Hey everyone,

The American Cancer Society is holding their annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on May 9nth; I thought it would be awesome if there was a Kumoricon/Cosplay team participating in this. Any interest? If so, send me an email and I'll get you the info (theslants@theslants.com)

They are having a complimentary kick off/informational breakfast in March, lets get some K-con representatin out there!

I think that would be really awsome!! I would totally be there! (a close family member of mine might have breast cancer,testing for it. This would be really nice to do!)

I'll do it. my Grandma has breast cancer and is going under treatment. It's not to serious, yet.

I think this idea would be cool for any help organization really. :3

First 20 Kcon people to sign up for this get a free Kcon Tshirt! They will be the first made by our new silk screen set up. Does blue shirts with white ink sound good to people? Or should we somehow have pink on them as that is the official color of breast cancer awareness?

I think pink would be appropriate and you can definitely count me in to do the walk. My Mom's side is known for getting breast cancer and two of my aunts have survived it.

Yep! And wheelchairs are provided for those who need it too; the only thing not allowed are pets or smoking during the walk

I'd like to do this, my mom survived a brush with breast cancer before.

Query: would we be doing this in cosplay? Or is it just a "wear the t-shirt" idea. If it's cosplay, I think pink ribbons (ah la AC) would be neat.

thanks, they moved up her sugery date, she goes in this tuesday at 10 am-ish, I was able to get the day off work
