I am sure the record of 608 was a fluke event--probably either bots or a link from a very high-trafficked site. It's not going to be broken or even approached by just the regulars from our community being on all at once. (Otherwise, the record would have been during con time, or immediately before or after.)

Also, you don't have to post to be counted. Just logged in.

I don't think the forums require you to be logged in, actually. It just counts the number of IP addresses viewing the forums at any given time, IIRC.

Yes, of course, you're right. I remember we would get a traffic spike (in the tens, nowhere near 608) when Yahoo Search would spider us from multiple IP addresses.
