seeking a hotel near the kumoricon!

okay, this will be my second con, and im actually cosplaying this time. im searching for a cheap hotel near the kumoricon so i dont have to ride in a car for 45 minutes just to get there ^^; im wanting to stay all three days, my mom and some friends will be with me. if some people want to share a room, we can split the room cost, most of us will more than likely be sleeping on the floor (probably me)

i really wish i could stay in that hotel, but i dont have very much money, so i need to find acheaper one in the area...

Looks like a jog through the park for food?  I'll probably bring some food though, since I'm vegetarian, and veggie sandwiches from Subway for three days straight sounds like it would get boring...

I woudlnt miss going to Subway at least once during the con. That was one of my fav memories of my first con at Kcon 04 when everyone in subway in line and eveyrthing were all cosplayers who freaked out thw employees. LOL

heh thats not what freaked them out. they werent warned of the impending doom that was kumoricon and thus EVERY employee ended up pulling triple shifts to cover the flood hahahahah.

That map is AWESOME! (Except the Taco Bell just to the north is actually a Muchas Gracias, which is also AWESOME! Because they are open 24 hours!)

I've never been to the Taco Bell, but Google said one was there. I'll update the map later. Knowing the locations of 24 hour places in the area is even more important.

There's also a little cafe on the west edge of the park but I couldn't find info on it. I'm hoping to find more places that will actually deliver food to the hotel since there's no pizza places nearby according to my searches.

Anybody in Vancouver know who delivers downtown?

Vancouver Pizza Company, I think they are called, are (last I checked) the only pizza place in the downtown Vancouver area.

None of these places showed up on a search for just pizza. Weird.
I'm a little suspicious of that second one though. The normal delivery places like Roundtable or Godfathers are miles away, though the Round table MIGHT deliver downtown. *shrug*
