Only the first is 2.5...
The second will probably be the same length. ^^;

Yeah, I think even the most die-hard Potter fans would get bored with a 5-hour movie.

Nope...
We do movie marathons for a reason. Because we can last that long.
I bet you when all of the movies are out, the most die hard fans will sit through all seven movies in one day without pausing or leaving the room.
I've done it with the ones I have.

Well, I suppose that IS technically possible, assuming that they're all 2 1/2 hours long.  That'd total 17 1/2 hours of movies.  I'd have to take a break from anything like a marathon, mainly because I want ample time to rest my eyes and eat.

Incorrect...

If all movies were 2.5 hours then it would total to 20 hours.
Seven years & two movies for year seven equals eight movies.
2.5 hours each * 8 movies = 20 hours

Also...each movie is about 2.5 give or take.

Well, you did say that there were seven movies in your previous post, so that was the number I went with.  20 hours straight of a single series... I'm having a hard time imagining all of these storylines being entertaining enough to do that.  Then again, I couldn't even finish the first book, so I guess I couldn't understand you fans... lol

And I thought ten hours straight of the extended Lord of the Rings was crazy when I did it. I may be dressing up to go watch this midnight showing, but there's no way I could possibly sit through twenty hours of nothing but Harry Potter.

Weeeeellllllll, I'd probably make it to the end of the Goblet of Fire and then ragequit.

Stupid sexy Tennant. I-I-It's not like I like you or anything!

Most HP movies are NOT 2ish hours long, it is the exception and not the rule. I am so glad DH will be super long though, unnnf.

PoA= Prisoner of Azkhaban.
It is my favorite of the HP films, and was the first to inspire me to a very specific cosplay as opposed to just cosplaying a generic student (that cosplay being Aragog on rollerskates); **except** for the Luna Lovegood portions of Order of the Phoenix and especially The Half-Blood Prince (because the latter inspired 2 fanfics and 2 cosplays).

I just had this cool idea of finding a way to cosplay a Patronus.

Lets be nice, it doesn't really matter how long the movies are.

I disliked parts, but I loved others.
The premier, though, was the funnest thing I've ever attended. We played Quiddich, HP trivia, dueled, made SO MANY Harry Potter references, and just plain old talked.
And there was this guy and we asked him what his shirt meant and he looked like he was going to kill us for the rest of the night. We were actually scared of him, and we ended up hiding xD

They let people sit really early, so when my friend and I got there at 9 all the lines were already gone....
So it wasn't as much fun as it could have been...

But we got a lot of pics ^^

Makes me want to get a latex mask to do the actual version of Voldy for part two now....

I was the only one in cosplay at my seating, which also was let in early. Very grateful for the truly funny parts, wow'd by some parts, wept at 1 scene. I'm sure y'all can guess which. This film makes me want to 'ship Harry-Hermione, which nothing previously has.

Ewww, Harry X Hermione, gahhh David Yates what are you doing! Rereading DH now, Part one covere 500ish out of 700ish pages so part two better deliver in the accuracy department- especially with Snape's memories since he's been neglected in the last movies.

I thought it was like the director poking fun at DR for doing Equus, having him strip to his skivvies so often.

The scenes that made me want to H-H ship were the totally rated G sweet ones, for the record!
