Cosplay Supplies
« on: September 02, 2008, 05:28:02 pm »
Okay, Little bit of background, my friends and I are all OMFG KON!! But none of us have ever really cosplayed really well. [Tossed on a kimono/whatever and that was it] This year I didn't bother to make any attempt because I went to PAX [caught monday of k-con, k-con > PAX] But next year we decided to go all out. So I'm making a request to any who may be able to help us.
We're looking for supplies, mainly sheet metal, leather, and the tools to work with them. Heck if anyone has a forge I could use I would <3 you forever!
We plan on making armor, weapons, accessories for about 13 people in full detail, so we need a lot of supplies. If you have any tips on where to get them around St. Helens, Portland, Beaverton area let me know!

check out the local SCA groups - there are plenty of armor makers in the SCA and they will also know where / how you can get armor-making items and they can introduce you to the people who already know how to make it.
http://www.sca.org is the main SCA site; http://www.antir.sca.org/ is for the Kingdom of An Tir - the kingdom that Oregon belongs to.
