Who here is participating in NaNoWriMo?

It's November, which means one thing- National Novel Writing Month.

This year I've decided to do NaNoWriMo, when in the past I forgot or procrastinated the entire time. But this time I'll really do it!
My wordcount is inaccurate now, though, since I'm re-writing what I have now to give my story a better, more eye-catching beginning.

Who here is doing it?

Creation Station has hosted workshops on it in the past (at other cons). If you'd be interested in providing a mini-how-to on the topic, let us know :)
Moreover, feel free to enter our contests. If you have any novel- or novella-length fanfics, you're welcome to enter them in our Fanfic Contest. If all your work is original, you may enter it at our Bedtime Stories event (by reading from it aloud, cosplaying it, or having others read or cosplay it).

Haha, I would never lead a workshop on something I'm not good at XD I'm still very much a beginner at writing, and I'm using NaNoWriMo as motivation. I don't like sharing my work much, either.

I'm giving it a shot, but lazy is my middle name, so we'll see how far I get. I'm determined to at least accomplish something though, dammit.

I did that for my friends since a couple of them have declared each other NANO NEMESIS. I declared that I would have a little contest for our gaming group, NanoPiemo. I would buy a pie for the person with the highest wordcount come the first weekend of December.

That woulda been pretty cool.

A friend of mine told me that she always meant to try NanoWrimo but she didn't think she'd be able to stay on task without someone helping. I promised that I would be her NanoNemesis next year and constantly wheedle her about progress.

Nope, I totally paid out. 30 bottles to everyone who finished. 30 bottles each. Didn't sign up? Better luck next time, when I have the money to sponsor such a thing.
