There's no big scary words. In fact, the biggest word in the novel, "radiation", it gets used incorrectly most of the way through.

There's big scary concepts, though. Coping with death and isolation. Bluejay also compares Christianity to Existentialism. The whole book was actually inspired by a religious discussion. Bluejay isn't really a religious novel, though.
