My teacher decided to cancel my first class...then my meeting was canceled...and my test only took me about 10 minutes to do.
I had to be at school for 10 minutes and I was there for over TWO HOURS! D<

I was playing basketball today and totally kicking butt, but somehow I rolled my ankle REALLY bad.  Like, very weird angle .. 90 degree bend .. ankle folding over and touching the hardwood, etc.. XD I'm fine and I could walk on it immediately after, but there was no way I could play (it was the last game anyways).  Now my knee and ankle are a little stiff, not painful but I can't put a lot of weight on it. :\

For one brief moment of absent-mindedness, I thought that we were talking about Dream Theater.  Then I remembered that we weren't.  Sad day.

That said, we should talk about Dream Theater, but not about Drama Theater AKA everyone getting butthurt about Mike Portnoy leaving DT for Avenged Sevenfold.  If the second best drummer in the world wants to quit the best band in the world for another pretty good band, that's his call.

Did you see Dream Theater when they came to town?  I wanted to go but decided not to.  I really like Dream Theater, but I'm not the biggest fan.  I also don't know as much prog metal as I should, even though I probably listen to a decent amount without realizing it.  That said, a couple bands of the top of my head that I really like are Nevermore (they were also in town a couple months ago, but it was like $20 and I didn't know any of the other bands) and Orphaned Land (they came through awhile ago and kicked butt!)

I was planning on going for 3 months prior, then a week beforehand I got dumped and my roommate-at-the-time (who's also a huge Dream Theater fan) had work so I decided I was too depressed to go to a concert by myself and stayed home playing StarCraft instead.  A decision I will probably regret for the rest of my life. :/

Are you gonna catch Epica on December 4th?  They're playing at Hawthorne and it'll be my first show in three months. (and my first Metal show since Sonata Arctica back in April)
