HERE GOES:
You need to be there for 3 reasons:
1) I will miss you inconceivably if you are not. (Who else would go up to the karaoke room with me =O)
2) It will be better this year, as the Hilton will be more prepared, and the convention goers won't have to punch them in da face >O
3) Friends, reunited! It's where all the forum dudes get to meet IRL! HOW BEAST IS THAT!
Next con: Kumoricon

1) OMG You were sooooo misleading. I didn't really register that 'top floor' REALLY meant TOP FLOOR. XD
2) Yeah but.... 40$ @.@ And nowhere to stay. :/
3)Yeah, but, like.... meet ups... XD

This may be a mood killer but...
I want to apologize for anything I've done or said to hurt someone's feelings.  :(
Because it feels like I've hurt a lot of people without knowing.

And now, back to talks of going to Kumoricon.

I'm gunna think about it, k? It also depends on who else decides not to go, because if a bunch of my friends aren't going I won't have fun. D:

Thanks for the reasoning <3 It helped.

I feel that way every time I come to a convention, then I end up meeting new friends and finding that the old came after all, resulting in a sandwich of joy all around.

If you don't see them the first day, they might just be saving up for the second day, being the biggest of all. If no friends show up, then I still have fun, even though it's with a glass half full.

Okay folks sorry to rant like this but I HAVE to get this off my chest.

Recently on T.V. I saw an advertisiment showing that there's a remake of Clash of the Titans coming out.

Now i remember when the original came out and when is aw it on Showtime. And i can say in all honesty that the original Clash of the Titans...was the most GOD-AWFUL movie I had ever seen in my life. They [paid NO attention to the Perseus legend. The charcters dialogue and the characters themselves were absolutely wooden, and the plot was BADLY thought out. Why the great Laurence Olivier ever got involved in the project I'll never know.
And now they actually want to do a REMAKE of one of the WORST movies in cinema history. My question is, WHAT IN GOD'S NAME ARE THESE PEOPLE THINKING!?!

Admittedly, I've been kind of peeved at a good friend lately (she doesn't have an account on here btw). By that, I mean that she hasn't really been good friend material this past week, including today. 3 1/2 hours late and expecting she'll cancel on me again. First she sent me a text this Friday saying that I'm lame for not going and hanging out with her and a another good friend that just moved back in town. I find out later they hadn't notified me about the event at all, they just wanted to tell me how much I sucked after it was over. I have been trying to organize something with them this entire time...
Secondly, she's cancelled on me like crazy. So much for best bros. I think I have every right to be angry.

OK first, lemme show you what a REAL PHONE looks like:
(from my kitchen wall.)

Notice the unnecessary, unwanted features which aren't there:

- No lights
- No recording system
- No digital display
- No text display
- No stupid colors
- No games
- No memory database
- No 9,642 buttons and features
- Metal bells that take real amounts electricity to ring

When the previous phone it replaced died, I had a heckuva time finding a real phone.
Everything else looked like a cell phone or a calculator.
Ended up finding this one at Pottery Barn.
Only thing I'd like better is if it had a real, rotary dial.

OKAY: so on my answering machine I got the best message in over 20 years:
"Hi. It's Donna. Mike' mom. Could you have him give me a call?" <click>

(I don't recite my name in my greeting message.)

The best one before that:

(Frat-rat, scum-boy accent) "Hey, Jenny. Just letting you know I can't pick you up at the train station tonight, so like, see ya." <click>

Stoopid question for people like the above: Since caller ID costs extra, why does everybody just assume (a) they got the right number, and (b) everyone else has caller ID?

For me - if you don't leave a call-back number, I don't call back.
Otherwise, I would have been more than happy to let "Donna" know that her message didn't make it to "Mike."

..... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ctually that's almost what it REPLACED - we had a replica one of those, the bells were decorative only, and it had a 12-button keypad built in to the writing tablet surface.

My late aunt worked the switchboard on the other end of the wire from boxes like those, in the 'trunk line' and 'party line' days.

Meanwhile we had one of THESE at our house when I was a kid. Again a modern replica, but STILL FUN:

... our had a rotary dial base. Originals had no dial at all.

I'm really angry right now.

That chick who's in the news all over the place right now, the lesbian who got her prom cancelled because they wouldn't let her bring her girlfriend....

She got a $30,000 scholarship to college.

For what?
For making a spectacle out of something.

This just pisses me off.

I am in no way bashing on homosexuals at all, my gripe with her is that she got a stupid scholarship, $30,000, for WHAT?

So the key to getting a scholarship: Make a spectacle out of yourself.

I'm really mad.
I miss 2010.
