i actually made some progress today, whoa!! that hasn't happened in...a while...

i made ms. paint's headscarf and a jade harley skirt for a friend, plus worked some more on another friend's neimi costume. really, at this point all i've got left are things i'm helping friends with.

I got the costume for Sakura when I was home on leave. I'm going to order the wig on my next paycheak with possibly my takagi fighter outfit, when she is in Rikas clothes.

ms. paint is well underway! i have her shirt and headscarf done (the stripes on the scarf are a bit tricky to see in this lighting but they are there). i'll get the fabric i need for her skirt and sash after sakura-con. not sure what to do about shoes - any suggestions? i was thinking white flats of some kind.

I have to be working on a lot of small prop details (that add up fast) for Link for Sakuracon. Can I do it in such a short time considering I don't get paid until Monday and I leave for con day 0? Hopefully!

My gloves hadn't been worked on yet, because the person wanted to measure how the gloves measured on my arms (especially since the material is kinda stretchy). I've been measured. (I can't believe how big my arms still arm...). I should definitely have my gloves by Sakuracon!

already lookint at it the fiber to that wig will give you issues big time by tangelign up and becomeing a mess i use to own a wig like that and had to throw it ou t

was just htere not to long ago they didnt have alot of coices for color there is another wig place i think in clackmas town center mall not sure

Wrath, you can try looking through "wigfashion" seller on eBay. Or "lhjun2010". They're both sellers I buy from regularily, they've got pretty good prices and I'm always pleased with their wig quality.

Also about the tangling, and friend of mine told me you can spray a silicone lubricant on it to help (seen in this tutorial -> http://mooglegurl.deviantart.com/art/How-to-De-tangle-and-Re-curl-a-Heat-Resistant-Wig-287340565)

Styled it but still working on it ! Sad i wont have it done for Sakuracon but thats alright. Kumoricon gets to see it !

Got myself a new wig for Aya Brea (Parasite Eve 1) and gonna use the old blonde wig to make my brother's Masaomi's wig. I will also soon order another red wig for my Karin cosplay since the one I ordered before started losing strands rapidly as though it were experiencing symptoms of cancer or something... -__-; Gah.

I started working on my scales for Darc from Arc the Lad. They still need work but I was excited to see what they looked like on my arm. They are put on very quickly here but you get the idea.

There will be more work parties this spring and summer.

Also bought a hot wire this week and used it to make my respirator. I love it!!!!! No jagged edges, no blue smurf dust getting everywhere, and fast!!

Finally settled on a design for my Fem!Heavy cosplay ^w^ I'm hella happy now
Ima gonna be on the Blue team too lol and my boyfriend is super mad about it. He called me a traitor lol I love it. Goin thrift store huntin right now to find some of the things I need, like a underbreast black waistcoat, and a plain blue long v neck shirt. If I find a dress that's perfect, I may alter it.

Still gotta start on my Cubchoo gijinka, but that'll be fairly easy. Mostly just pajamas for that one.
I'm super happy though ^w^ also bought my badge this morning.

I dun have enough money (or skill lol) to make Sasha.
I'm gonna make the hat, a sandvitch, and the chocolate bar as my props.

And I actually just decided to use a different shirt for it. I bought a dress that I planned on altering, but I wore it yesterday to see how it felt and I love it too much to alter it lol

Anyway, I hot glued new roses to the Ciel hat for con

And they look much better. Nice and big!

Yesterday I bought the last of the makeup I needed (2 things of blush and 2 more colors of lip balm), as well as REAL eyeshadow that won't irritate my eyes. Incase I want it.
I also finished up the Mirror Shield, Razor Sword, Majora's Mask and the Bunny Hood. I'm gonna have so much stuff packed onto my head, I'm tempted to just have the bunny hood or something attached to my belt or something @.@ I didn't get a chance to make something for the sword so it can go on my belt, but I did have time to make an elastic loop for the shield so I can A) hang it on my wall and, B) attach it to my belt at con potentially.

All I have left to do is see if the sword needs another coat of varnish, pack up every thing, and trim the bangs for Ciel. I might not do the bang trimming until late tonight when everything else is packed and out of my way.

Sak next year for sure!! ok so I got out all my stuff to start using resin for the first time then realized that I didn't have a respirator. So with sad heart I had to put everything back and wait till this weekend when I can go to home depot and get one.

Last week I make a rainbow tutu for the rave then realized that I didn't like it on me. So either scrap it or put it up for adoption.

Will make my rave skirt out of a silky/satin material instead of tulle. Big mistake i put it on and was reminded of the planet Saturn during gay pride week

A while back I posted something about a sewing machine and me making my costumes for this year...
That plan went down the drain.
Turns out I'm probably just going to buy my costumes and have a costume tailor-made.
It works out better for my schedule.

But since starting work, I found these awesome shoes that are so comfortable, they are work boots but I think they'd suffice for my Tamaki cosplay. I have two pairs, one is still not out of its box.
But once I have enough money, I will buy most things I need in June. Or next month, depending on what my budget looks like. So far, I have enough to buy my material, but I need to find a tailor who would be willing, once I know the exact size I will be for con.
First thing I will order next month though, is my wig for Tamaki. Just waiting to be paid...

I had completely forgotten that I purchased one of those belly flattener things that also helps shape the hips. It doesn't do ALL that the Special Part does, but it's good enough for this costume. Now I just need to figure out make-up, kill my unibrow, make sure my seamstress finishes my gloves, then I'm going to be ready for Seattle.

I used some resin last night for the first time and I was worried cause everyone said how bad the fumes were and that it needed to be in a well ventilated space and to use all this caution. BUT the stuff that I used last night didn't have even a slight odor. Did I use the right stuff?

I just made a ton of cosplay progress, by choosing not to cosplay something! I had been on the fence, feeling reeeally apprehensive about cosplaying Steiner from FFIX. Finally, I realized it is just not the right time for it, and I dropped it. Feeling much better now. I've decided to cosplay Ward from FFVIII instead, and I'm stoked to be doing that one.

I haven't started anything yet, but making that decision has already put me miles ahead of where I was.
