I have a pair of red circle lenses that show up a little purple on my eyes. Contacts seem scary at first, but they're not too bad.

I just prefer Acuvue. Also, my fit is for them so I'm more confident that they fit my eyes (I got brown for cosplay last year, and I think I'm going to get some of the enhancers <3).
Line up:
-Kageyama (Haikyuu)
-Cordelia (Fire Emblem Awakening)
-Marauder Ashe (League of Legends)
-??? Who knows what else. Probably a cosplay I can wear my glasses with.

the reason why these last long than just your average 3 months, is cuz they are not from america lolololol (i joke there, although it's very true for most things made outside of the US, they are more durable, and MADE to be worn and used for that long FOR the right price!)

and acuvue is expensive... it fits very nice, and it's MEANT to be that way, and since they are QUALITY they are obviously going to be more expensive than your average cosplaying contacts.

sure these will last longer, but NOT all contacts last very long, it depends on how well you take care of them! <3

ANYWAYS! LOLITA news <3< SO! i'm looking for a cute blue lolita dress... i mean i have a dress already, but it's not really "lolita" it's more towards "cosplaying" as my character and obviously you can tell the material is a bit more shiny :P

do any of you guys have any old blue lolita skirts that i may buy off you?

^ The reason Acuvue is expensive is because that's how much Americans are willing to pay. Also, American products are far more durable than most people think. There are American contact lenses that last for up to a year as well.  ;)

Sorry, I don't really have much lolita stuff right now. ._.;; I'm having some money problems, so I wasn't able to buy anything I was planning on getting.

When you have very sensitive eyes, like I do, you have to be really careful where you spend your money on contacts. I'd rather not pay $15 or whatever on a pair of contacts that is going to kill my eyes. I had a friend that got some sharingan contacts that really hurt her eyes, and my eyes are more sensitive than hers. Thus why I stick to Acuvue and usually only one-day contacts (even two week contacts start hurting my eyes if I've worn them more more than three days in a row, even with careful cleaning and storing overnight). I've been wearing contacts for almost 8 years and have gone through a lot of different types of contacts, cleaners, etc. and finally settled on Acuvue one-days. They are really nice, especially if you have sensitive/dry eyes and/or don't wear contacts very often.

@bunny: also do keep in mind these contacts are only meant to be worn 5-8 hours lol XD they aren't ALL day contacts like the ones you usually wear :3 and yea i do have sensitive eyes (so bad that i had to rip out the contact on one of the days) but that's cuz i forgot that they were meant to be worn for only 5 or so hours not THE WHOLE DAY! lol

@miria: and yes i know that some US products ARE obviously better quality, but i gotta say, i love Japanese contacts A LOT more than i do US :/ for some reason, they just don't sit as well as the japanese ones >.<

I dunno, I got some sketchy stuff when I typed in "lolita."

The problem is that with etsy, people put 'trendy' words as tags so that more people will look at their items. Just try searching steampunk and you'll see what I mean.

Also, you should add Milanoo to the "never buy lolita from" list. I know you've put cosplay shops up already, but Milanoo deserves to be up there even if it is twice.

Never tried US contacts, so I really can't say. ^^;; Or Japanese ones, for that matter. All the ones I've tried are Korean brands. I don't even if they were made in Korea. ._.;; I assume most everything I own is made in China, Vietnam, or Cambodia. I have a fleece made in America and that's it.

I can already make all the stuff I want by hand, so I personally wouldn't be interested. ^_^; I never buy handmade because of this. I also usually don't buy skirts unless they're border printed because they're so easy to make. I'll buy OPs and JSKs because I'm usually too lazy to make them, but even then they have to be at least Bodyline.

Headbows are just rectangles and folds, but a fellow seamstress doesn't give away her secrets (especially when she sells stuff too ;P). ;D I've never made leg warmers, and I'm not sure I'd wear them with lolita. lol What kind of leg warmers did you mean? Knitted ones or Takuya Angel style?

Yeah, kimono dresses are wa lolita. Wa lolita usually isn't suggested for newbies, though, because it's really hard to pull off. Leg warmers are usually an 'ita' sign. Not trying to be rude or anything, just trying to warn you. >.>

Wa-lolita (or kimono-inspired lolita) is difficult to pull off and generally doesn't look the best. However, if you want a Japanese-looking dress, I'd suggest using a fabric that has a kimono-like print on it, like this:

The dress is from Meta. I'm not crazy about the actual design of the dress but the pattern is adorable.

Also Blender those shoes are so adorable <3 I want a pair now haha

Fluer, I know! I love them! I need to poke another hole in the ankle straps though. Curse you tiny ankles!

Yeah. I'm indifferent on which style I like best. I'm a mix between gothic and sweet lolita myself. But I've never tried wa lolita.

I love wa lolita, but I'm a blonde-haired blue-eyed freckled white girl. I'd never be able to pull it off unless I drastically changed my appearance.

I like gothic best, and classical after that. OTT Sweet is cute, like I've said, but I'd look horrid in it.

Maybe if it was the right dress and I had a wig I might be able to pull off wa lolita, but I'm not even going to try, I don't want to ruin it.

Question! How can something be considered lolita when it has no clothes on?

I like all the styles, but as for what I would actually wear I'm defiantly punk and boy-style.
I tried gothic before and it looked good on me, but I just don't wear enough "girly" clothing that it looked kinda weird.
