Trashed my first dress top and started working from the bottom up.
The bottom looks great but I think the top is giving me issues again. :/
I decided to break off for today before I get too stressed out.

I'm basically done with Maka's vest. All that's left is the decorative thread work looking stuff on the sleeves, neckline and hemline. Then I can work on the jacket!

Yeah, I would suggest just going over with a clean coat of paint. The weathering doesn't really seem to fit with Kingdom Hearts' aesthetic. It's not a very realistic universe like other games/anime/genre. I think Kingdom Hearts props are all about solid color and pristine condition.

so i got my paprika outfit today and it makes me sad cuz it's way too big (the shirt) and i really don't want to pin it and make it look choppy, so ima be wearing this to sakuracon instead. >.< but the good news about that is, i get to wear my other cosplays more

I finally got felt for my Raichu tail so the lightning bolt is made and attached to the tube part. All i need to do is stuff the tube and attach it to my dress.

I found a hat for my Ox King today, so...that's cool. I will get that put together on Monday. So, yay, haha.

I got a flat-brim baseball cap, and I'm gonna cut the brim off and sew a hem around the rim to clean it up. After that, I'll attach the horns, put a nice little edge around the bases of the horns, and paint the emblem on the front. Then I should be done with Ox King. It won't be perfect, but it will be good enough for now.

I HAVE A SKIIIIRIRRRRRTTTT!!! So happy to be done (well, mostly). I still need to do some hand sewing stuff on the cage skirt, and I might tack the train underneath so it is more forward on the sides. I'm also going to be putting lace applique all over the place, and I have a bunch of bows to make to go down the left side. I'm going to work on the corset tomorrow though, give the skirt some rest. I also have to wash out my pen marks (water soluble pen ftw!). Pics!

I'm not sure why I was so hesitant to use modge podge but I love it. I got it to try to smooth out one side of my blades since the resin was too hard to sand and it has worked perectly. I got one side smoothed out and plan on smoothing out the other side later today. The on to painting and some more modge podge for the gloss finish.

The only problem is that it covers everything up, and it's a huge bother putting in on and off. Perhaps someday I will make a plain cross and just cover it with the white cloth and straps. But I don't think I would ever want to carry both of them at once. Perhaps it will be a future project of I ever want to do a photoshoot after I loose some more weight.

@Bunny_Jean- Holy balls! That is looking fantastic!! I'm not a big Vocaloid fan but I'm going to have to see this irl at con and get a picture. IT's so gorgeous!

As for progress from me, finally got my bodice pretty much finished. I just need to attach the straps to the necklace with threads instead of pins and I need to figure out the slit on the side of the dress some more. It's so goddamn high and I'm going to have to be flashing my underwear at everyone ;A; It's what the references actually look like though so I'm just gonna have to deal, I'm just feeling a little uncomfortable about it.

Also probably going to start the skirt today too. I'm sad because I wanted to do fabric for the skull that is on the side of her skirt and zigzag around it but the fabric is too stretchy and slippery so it won't work. I'm gonna have to fabric paint it on, but at least that'll be a little easier.

yeah I've been wanting to redo my wolfwood for a while now but I'll have to redo everything. when I made his suit I used the absolute cheapest fabric I could find (I was on a tight budget) and now it just looks like ****.

My keyblade just needs a little bit more painting and a lot of unwrapping (newspaper errywhere) and it'll be done. That weathering job honestly was horrible, but I'll remember it for if I ever do Halloween Town anything. Which I'd better not, because that would mean I'd be back into KH cosplay.

Also these are my new contacts. The top ones are purple and they're nice but they're very dark and I like my Geo Angel Violets better because those are much brighter. The middle ones are flower-something circle lenses in blue, and they're neat if not a little unnerving. Still very dim though. The last ones are my geo angel blues, which suck and are basically black. I'm actually glad I didn't throw out my other blue contacts because as far as blue goes these are no good.

Conrad aside, I need to paint ties for two of my cousins, so their Harry Potter cosplays will be one step closer to being done.
And Snape just really needs a tie, but there's a possibility, I might have to do him after Kumori-con.

Well, seems Ive decided to drop my secret cosplay and work with something much easier and it's already halfway done.

Day 3 I will be Yuna. I found in my closet the sleeves, shirt, and belt. Need to finish the belt up, and also fix the staff. Tonight I'll be starting on the skirt.

Finished the vest in two days. I borrowed some heat and bond from a friend and I'm going to attach the snake eyes tonight. I bought body paint and what not as well. I just need to practice wearing the contacts(my eyes are super twitchy when I try to put them in) and figure out something for the bracelets. I might not even have them in time for con but oh well. I'm not even going to have a tail. :< That'll be for S-con.

those look awesome. I really like the way it looks like the red paint rubbed off the metal.
