My legs hurt like ridiculously bad. I have to use stairs at school today. ERGH.

Either I need to refrain from bouncing around in heels for hours in the future or do it way more often than I do now.

Lol, also, for someone who doesn't have a life, doesn't go anywhere, and doesn't wear dresses, I have a ridiculous amount of party/ballgown dresses.

I miss 2010.

Today is Yom HaSho'ah.

I spent this day introducing my girlfriend to my father!

Clark College is doing its own version of Yom HaSho'ah on May 12.  It's a little late, but since this school seems to favor Mexican holidays and observances above anything else, at least it's something.  (I know it sounds racist, but it's true; we celebrate Mexican things here so much that I feel like I'm in Tijuana, or something; good food, though, so I'm usually fine with it).

Just looking at 2011, they had two in the Winter quarter, had one this last Friday, and will have Cinco de Mayo this Thursday.  They also had three things in the Fall quarter.  It's not very diverse if we're always doing things from one culture and barely even recognizing others, or our own.

Today is my sister's birthday. Her 20th birthday.

So much going on right now I think I might have a mental breakdown about it.

I was dressed all spiffy today for work.  Some random girl told me I looked really good.  I smiled and said "thank you."  Then she said I also have a beautiful smile.

Your beard scares the hell out of me but the eyes are brighter than the guy I work with that swipes samples from the furnace every evening. I'm surprised you don't get jumped by girls because of your eyes. I'm starting to get a lot of good attention for my contacts but mainly from guys. The girls just smile, stare and start acting creepy. :/

Also, your shirt is hot. I know it's wrong of me but something about your appearance makes me want to tear it right off of you. :D

Not a beard guy? ^^;;  It's kind of just stubbly, anyways.  I never let it get past like 1/8" of an inch.

Edit: omg, I just realized how massive that picture is.  RESIZING.

Speaking of politicians, I was walking with my boyfriend in Downtown yesterday when I interrupted our conversation with a gleeful "Oh! Mushrooms! I wonder what type they are!" He ignored it politely, and a few minutes of continued walking later he goes "Oh! The mayor!" I didn't hear him right until I looked right and saw Mayor Sam Adams holding the door open for some politicians. He knodded, we knodded. It was good.

I point out mushrooms, he points out mayors. It works, I guess.

My nearly 14-year-old dinosaur computer has finally stopped giving me access to the internet. Might be about time to plug in that new(used) computer, although i don't have the right sized screen for it.
The people at my dad's work are so nice ;w; Giving me used computer stuff and all that (already got a monitor from them a few years ago).

*eviscerates the crappy network driver*
I just defragged for the first time this year and you just reminded me of the only minor frustrations I have with this computer. :/

Pick some parts and rebuild. They're cheap during mid-Spring and I do it once every 8 years(or every 13 major advancements) just for the hell of it. Just don't go with a quad core system. They're fast but board support is still not ready for prime time. The game devices and software I like are proof. x_X

As for me, I'm not going to think about that. Some of my friends are finally making derpy pink-eye jokes about me now(yay contacts!). I'm just glad they're not roping me into that stupid vampire/werewolf **** like the high school kids running around downtown. I remember one night one of them asked me if I was going to drink blood. I would have said yes but the ***** doesn't put out yet stupid canned responses are going to be the end of me. >.>

This stupid Twilight craze needs to die. :/

This computer has been being slow and crappy for years, and being a Windows 98 computer, i'm surprized it's lasted this long. I've been wanting to update for year now and the computer i got from my dad's work is Wondows XP, so i'm pretty happy about that.

crappy
Diskpart format reinstall, doo dah! Doo dah!♪ ::)

I started on a cute little 233MHz Intel running Windows 95 on just 500MB of storage. For 5 years it was a complete pain in the ass. I eventually swapped parts with a 400MHz AMD K6(clocked the **** out of it), a 20GB disk and loaded a copy of Windows Server 2003 but later sold it because maintenance was too frustrating. Still, software worked correctly, network stopped choking, videos loaded correctly...It was good. Windows 98 and XP were a middle ground in there somewhere but I needed a server OS and I hated clearing dust out of a legacy computer chassis every month.

Replaced that with a 3GHz Pentium 4 Prescott that hosts my web projects, ridiculously high capacity game servers and my insane cosplay photography hobby. It started out at $700 but is probably closer to $350 now. If you build, make sure you can continue using your current computer either as a backup workstation or a phantom server. There are times where you genuinely need one instead of the other. Trust me on this. If it can't handle: Booting from CD/USB, a new network card, new mass storage devices...Just save yourself the trouble and junk it. Otherwise, have fun. :P

Sentences I have completely botched this week:

(While talking about Fondue for Two with a friend)
Me: It's like the Glee version of passion mosters... uh...
Friend: Potion Master's?
Me: .... Yeah, that.
---------------------------------
Sister: I need to give the cat revolution, hold her, she gets mad.
Me: Yeah I don't know why they get so upset about zits....
Sister: Zits?
Me: Uh, I mean fleas.
Sister: Right, fleas.
Me: Well really though, you'd think they'd like not having flits... I mean zits... I mean fleas, dammit!
-------------------------------
Mom: So what vegetables do you want with dinner?
Me: Well I think we still have some marshmallo-broccoli.
*Hopes she didn't notice*
Mom: So marshmallows are vegetables now? Good to know.
Me: >.> Yeah, so, broccoli?
-------------------------------
(Singing along to the radio in the car)
Me: Seagulls (Song said "She goes"... I don't even know, okay?)... Haha, wow did I just say seagulls?
Mom: Yeah, I wasn't going to say anything but, wow.
Me: So we'll just pretend that didn't just happen okay?
Mom: Yeah right.
I miss 2010.

Holy crap.  So, I asked my boss recently if he would sell me some hardware to build a pfSense box since we use them a lot for work.  Instead, he gave it to me for free.  And then started throwing in all this crazy wireless stuff.  I just Googled this wireless amp he gave me and it's $109 new online. :S  Then there's some weird satellite-looking thing.  o___o  I still need to figure out what the heck to do with all this, haha.

Just translated the lyrics of Utada Hikaru's "Beautiful World" song from Evangelion into Turkish. That was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I'm planning to do a fandub eventually.

Also, my friend from Italy linked me to this scholarship that could help me do some archaeology work around Naples. I wouldn't even have to pay for housing since he says I can stay at his place. Sweet~

I don't get it.

So while I'm in this part of the country, one of my brothers really made a point of wanting me to drive down to see him and his wife and daughter last night (after spending the day with my mom). I spent most of an hour getting there (and the same coming back at 1 am), to spend two hours... watching TV with them. =/

Is this the normal form of socialization these days? (I'm not trying to be a smart@**, I genuinely don't know. It was the most American TV I've watched at one sitting in several years.)
This is my serious voice. Otherwise, I'm just another anime fan, not a moderator.

I've been so endlessly excited for the end of school. Summer. Wonderful summer.
Then I remembered that my friends are seniors.
And they're going to graduate next month.
Then be gone.
And likely is I'll never see them again.

After not being in contact for over a year with one of my best friends in Germany (aka my lovely husband. lol) I finally found his phone number while looking through old emails and was able to get his Skype...

Just got done chatting on webcam for over an hour, which was amazing since we haven't actually seen each other face to face in about 4 years. Seriously I have the most ridiculous smile on my face right now... =D

^^ Aw, sorry Soundy. That always sucks. :(

I'm starting to think maybe I shouldn't be allowed near the internet when I'm home sick. The length of my Bookmarks list has nearly doubled in the past fifteen minutes, and most of the things on there have titles like "SAMURAI OTP" and "NOW WITH ADDED GEESE". I can't help it, I keep finding prettyprettypretty Nabari No Ou pictures.

Welcome back to the South, random! :D
I'm not trying to be a smart@**
Then just do what I do and either be the smart or the ass part. One of my friends here used to be called Smartass since they trained some pretty amazing donkeys back in the day. No one seems to have any use for them around here so after some years the ass part was finally dropped. One of his family went to college during those times and we just call him Wiseass. Some of them went to the South and they still raise donkeys that are clearly a lot smarter than some of the people I meet so, I guess some are doing a good job. >.>'
most of the things on there have titles like "SAMURAI OTP" and "NOW WITH ADDED GEESE".
...Meep. o_o
The only bookmarks I have are for certain shops, Facebook(despite never using it) and a few manga links. :-\

It sucks how something so good, can suddenly cause a big problem..... An opportunity has suddenly presented itself, but it'll cost a good bit of money and the fact that I'm indecisive and need to make a decision soon isn't helping.

Seriously... I've been super stressed/unsure all day now. UGHHHHHHH.... I just wish someone would tell me what the "right" choice would be. =/

Well you could always do something expensive and exciting.

Or you could just go broke and sit there wasting away without accomplishing anything worthwhile...>.>'

Magi: What are you doing?
Me: I'm putting a stop to this. Now.
Magi: You'll die.
Me: I don't believe that.

It's true that it'd be a really exciting opportunity, and I'd have a ridiculous amount of fun... but I just have a hard time dropping over $600 when I could put it towards my "new car fund" or for school things.

I really want to be spontanious... but ughhhhhhhhh.

Watching "Full Metal Jacket" again for the first time in years. I forgot how intense this movie is, and I'm still in the first half.
