Alright so this is my masquerade outfit:

My worry is that it's not brown enough to be a Teddiursa dress, but I don't know what else to do with it, I was thinking of getting some brown leggings, and my Yuna wrap thing makes a wonderful shawl, I was also wondering if I shouldn't sew like a brown version of that for this.
Anyone have any ideas on how to make it more Teddiursa-y?

Oh, and I will be wearing my ears and moon thingy, but still, it's hard to recognize.

EDIT: Also, the brown thing's not attached cause this pretty white sequined band is where I put the brown one, it stays where I want it to when it's on me though.

I think it looks lovely, and in fact I was about to post a picture of my completed masquerade costume. But it has technical difficulties. Booo. D:

Anyway, back to yours. I honestly I can't think of anything and I don't know if it matters too much. People aren't going to be mega focused on how effectively you reflect your character at the masquerade (since some aren't even going in cosplay but just fancy attire) so I think you'll be fine. But if you really want to, go for it!!~ x3

Also here's my masquerade stuff all put together.~ (I feel like it sorta looks like Soul's suit...but not really at the same time. xD)

@ Romo, well other than ditching the mask, I also wanted to use the dress for like an alternate Teddiursa dress, not just for formal stuffs. ^.^

Oh...well then...you could try to dye parts of the dress brown using tea or something. To give it a more earthy feel. That's all that came to mind for me though.

It's hard to tell, but the jewels are red and purple, the ones above the eyes are silver, the glitter glue is green, and the center jewel is light/ice blue~ x3

There is actually two layers of it, and I have tan dye. If I can control it well enough I could dye the bottom layer and leave the top white and lacy. I'm just scared to ruin it. XP

I looked it up and it says it's better to have them hand-washed because detergent might remove it as a "natural stain". D:

It was actually already the golden color. I'm sort of slow at crafts, so it took me a little over an hour. xD;; I had to be careful with glue because I'm such a klutz when it comes to glue. D8 It gets everywhere.

So, I have a rather mascot-y costume for the con the will pretty much involve there being a giant hood over my head. Any ideas on how I can get a mask (or mask alternative) to work with such a setup?

Also wearing large cloak.
Attempt to find invisible-under-regular-light fabric paint that glows in the dark Y/N?
