I had to reorder a new wig for Howl. Thank goodness Arda is located in the US! I hope it will be here on time... 18 days!

Went Shopping and got all the last of the things I needed for costumes!
Including hair spray and gel for wigs, and the last bit of stuff I would need for prop and Jewelry pieces!
8D I'm glad that I got something done today! FOR MY COSTUME! That never happens! XDD
I only have the little bit of Bias tape left to sew along the end and then it's done! Once that's done, I plan on starting construction on Demony's skirts, and then I'll work in intervals til everything is done!
I have more to do for my own costume, But this way, I can get the complicated parts out of the way, so the last few things I'll need to make will be easy!
I'm waiting til after the big important costumes to start making Izaya's Jacket, It should only take me a day and a half, since I've made so many jackets before!
8D I was super overwhelmed a few days ago, and now I have made so much progress! YAAAAAY!

4 steps forward, and 2 steps backward. Got my Fem Engineer done and when i tried on my blonde wig that darn thing couldn't even fit a child's head. Even though it's an adult female on the package. Crazy!!! The knee pads for my engineer won't stay up either....so I guess I will just pin them to my overalls so they stay in place.

I found the perfect bag for Kuranosuke yesterday, and for the past 2 days I've been painting her shoes. Almost done with one of them.

I'm still waiting on the fabric for Shego to come in the mail. It's supposed to be here tomorrow.

Alright, so I finally got off my lazy butt and took pictures!

Sort of done with Skymin - I just need to make the antlers and spray paint some boots green.

Almost done with Matryoshka!Miku - I just need to finish untangling one pigtail and then try and do the makeup. Whoo!

I'm done with Daniel, I just need to toy around with make up to make me look like I haven't slept well in a while. :'D

Started painting the Pokeballs on my Ash/Vash crossover pokeguns. they are starting to look awesome. Since I made two of them i decided to have a drawing during my weapon prop panel to give one away to an audience member.

Gauntlets are done. That's one thing off the list.

The next piece I'm focusing on is the harpoon. Tomorrow I may start working with the insulation foam. Not sure how well the heat will serve it, so I may put it off until next week. We'll see.

almost finished with jade's lunchtop, and i'm gonna try to get the dress done today or tomorrow. gamzee's finished, but i still need to find faygo. my clothes for fionna finally came in the mail, but the socks are weird, and the shirt doesn't fit right. so i'm gonna have to reconstruct some things. at least everything's the right color...i also still need to finish the backpack, but that's gonna take a few minutes, tops.

it's great looking at everyone's progress! i'm so excited to see all the finished costumes!

Have my gloves and bowtie for my Zatanna cosplay now... need to make the collar part this week, and buy the boots. Need new tights also since my original ones have gone missing in action. Saw pictures of the jacket I'm commissioning and it looks fantastic! I'm really getting excited! Second picture is of my Zatanna wig now that I got all the weird kinks/bumps out of it and chopped off about 6 inches.

I hope there are other Young Justice people running around!!! =]

Found a good wig at the halloween store. Not the greatest but in a pinch not bad. Just gonna braide that sucker into pigtails and then my Fen Engineer is good to go! Spending the rest of the day getting Desert Punk ready. Need to get a fan inside the faceplate. and need to retint but that should only take about an hour.

I went to saphora today cause no one has green lipstick for my rave outfit, so I found a light green matte that can go on the lips and some nightlight green fingernail polish. So rave outfit is done too.

I'm doing her outfit from the second season of Young Justice, which actually doesn't have the hat.... which is nice actually because it's one less thing to worry about.

However, this whole boot situation is driving me up a wall! I just have the thickest thighs ever and boot zippers just can't seem to overcome them. ;_;

Spaceballs cosplay progress:
In the process of cutting (which went well) and painting (didnt go so well) the acrylic globe for my spaceballs helmet, the acrylic became very brittle and broke into pieces. I was using krylon fusion paint and a dremel. Ordered another orb to work on but I am still dumbfounded as to what caused this, might try using some fiberglass resin and bondo next time to strengthen it post cutting/pre paint.

any input into this matter would be helpful

I know it's late in the game but there is a web site that you can get clear acrylic street globes. I am using one of these to make my Desert Punk faceplate cause his is perfectly round. If you order soon it will get here before con and just cut it with a dremel and paint it. It's really strong stuff.

I would get the 12 or 14 inch. I ordered this on a friday and it got to me by wed. so if you hurry you should have enough time cause all you would have to do is cut it and paint it.

I feel freaking accomplished!
All the sewing is almost done for all my costumes!
Then I just need to make belt buckles, make a sword holster, make a knife and style my wigs, and I'm done.

shirt and socks for fionna are a total disaster, so i might just have to postpone her till another con. on a more positive note, the backpack is coming along well!

Sprayed the other side of my harpoon's insulation a couple hours ago, waiting 5-8 hours for that to set, and I also just put my first layer of foamcoat on my Styrofoam ring, which takes at least 2 hours to dry.

Hurry up and wait is the motto of the year, lol.

I got all my foam sprayed and set. Tomorrow... *nervous gulp*... I sculpt! I've never done this before, so I'm terrified.

Also, I put a first layer of foamcoat on my styrofoam, and I'm wondering if anyone has ever used this product before? I am using it for durability, but also to get a smooth texture, and it is a little too thick and shows brush strokes. Can I thin it with water?
